I moved this from the other thread to here cause it fits better. (anyone else notice I almost ALWAYS post in the wrong thread first... jeeeezzzz looooweeezzzeee. )
Anyway...
I'm wondering if the sentinel "key" might have something to do with the "key" to the coded text in the Dinah note??I tried to anagram the key to the Dinah note which (i think) was "aikoannacainegarnetkurttippyvon" got a ton of gobbledeegook about "port-au-prince" but not much else. Also tried to add that "key" to the sentinel url ...but got nuttin. any other ideas?

Hmm... I unfortunately didn't have the privilege to be involved in ILB and have been reading TheBruce's version (which btw is v entertaining - keep the updates coming! ).
Anyways, the keys make me think of chatters... that was my point.
[Edit: Just corrected that terrible spelling]

This is kind of a stretch, but the name of one of the correspondents on the letters page, Kylie Sharp, is an anagram for "key is ralph."

That's what prompted the PCBC discussion.

Sponsor?
I lookes at this site and think there are some real possibilities here -- at least for who the Sponsor is. Maybe the whole 'Key' thing is the real hook?
Don't know how to 'move this to the hook thread, or would...

if im talking gibberish please ignore me as this is my first proper post!
It does seem like a massive coincedence that a site called cubetech has so much information on access keys, this could just be complete chance, but i spent ages on the website anyway i didnt notice much but when you translate the website into korean rather than english there is much more information on the site including a Q&A section, i duno if any of the extra info is even relevant as i cannot read korean. Either there is something here connecting to the sentinel or this is a giant coincedence. It does seem like this site at least gives a good idea of what the key could be that is mentioned on the sentinel site.

"We are unable to connect to your key to verify your subscription status. Your key may require service."
I strongly suggest that this means a 'cookie'. When we go to the actual Subscriptions page we are told:
"What are you waiting for? Subscribe now!"
This is a catch-22. We cannot get a subscription without being authenticated!
Are we supposed to become 'stringers' for the Perplex City Sentinel and write stories as Earth correspondents? Maybe we could trade our writing for Lecks and then purchase a subscription?
I think we need to discover a webpage that has the SetCookie javascript, or we need to subscribe by trade/barter.

Maybe its we need to be a Perplex City Citizen and key holder BEFORE we can subscribe... not that we need to be subscribed to subscribe.

Seems to me that the Subscriptions page is for subscribing to an actual printed version of the newspaper ("The Sentinel delivers Perplex City to your doorstep -- every day of the week."), and that you need to authenticate with a key on the website to subscribe to that.

looks like the key is a physical object. Sounds like a cross between a PDA and a ID card (and makes me think of the device the protagonist carried around in Eastern Standard Tribe).
