Seeking Programmers for interview

I am doing a school project on professional programming and i need to interview one. If you fit the bill could one or two people answer these questions?
1. What does your daily workload usually consist of?

2. When did you know you wanted you be a programmer and why?

3. What computer languages do you work with?

4. Do you program in your free time?

5. Aprox. how many hours a week do you work AND/OR how are what projects you do chosen?

6. How have you had to update your knowledge base over the years?

7. What kind of programmes do you work on?

8. Who do you work for? OR Where did you get your education?

9. What kind of envirnment do you work in?

10. How did you begin programming?

Thanks for the help and please only answer if you are a certified or career programmer.

Re: Seeking Programmers for interview

I'm currently working more on the electrical side of my computer engineering degree and have only been actively in the field now for ~3 years, but here you go.

1. What does your daily workload usually consist of?
Updating, changing, and streamlining the program used to test DDR SDRAM here at Micron. Along with pulling all of the data needed to know what to update, change, etc. and other pet projects.

2. When did you know you wanted you be a programmer and why?
I've always loved computers and math but knew I didn't want to be in front of a screen 100% of the time, hence the Computer Engineering degree vs. Computer Science. I also wanted a job that would pay well enough and be stable enough to allow my wife to be a stay at home mother.

3. What computer languages do you work with?
Currently: perl, Advantest, basic script, C. Not a lot of higher level programming languages here ... boy I miss me some good polymorphism.

4. Do you program in your free time?
Very Rarely. I actually spend very little time even on the computer at home. I get enough of it here.

5. Aprox. how many hours a week do you work?
45

6. How have you had to update your knowledge base over the years?
Yes, mostly just understanding the local environment and tools here at work though.

7. What kind of programmes do you work on?
SDRAM test programs.

8. Who do you work for? OR Where did you get your education?
Micron Technology, Inc. Brigham Young University

9. What kind of envirnment do you work in?
Shared cubicle in a large cubicle farm. PC & Sun workstation.

10. How did you begin programming?
A game me and my buddy wrote in Basic. Basic graphical 2D wizard vs bowman vs axe dude shooter. Ah, the glory days of goto ...

Good luck!
