Two new posts - one from Hanna, and one from a new character Chin Mae Park.

Also, I got rejected!

Quote:
Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in living and working on the H. P. Rosenthal
Research Station. We are heartened every time someone tells us that they desire
to do something as dangerous and risky as going out into space. This world
surely is lacking your sort of courageous spirit right now.

However, it is my sad duty to inform you that your particular skill set isn't
what we are looking for at this time. We do wish that we could accept every
adventuresome person from the Earth up here with open arms but the truth of the
matter is that we only have limited space and resources on the station. We are
currently hard at work creating a terrestrial base on the surface of Mars which
may be finished within the year. Please feel free to resubmit an application at
that time and we will give you another look.

New update from chester everett, Do we think this could be pointing us to cracking his blog password? I am trying the obvious but nothing so far.

Also im guessing the use of the pictures next to each blog is just to make sure we can tell the difference between players and PM's.

I am also curious about Wainamoinen... who are you and what is up with your spacey icon? If he's not one of us, does that icon mean this guy is from space? He doesn't have an Earth or Mars icon... which is strange because he sounds like a player from his post. Otherwise, how did you get that icon?

EDIT: His icon has been changed to the earth icon. It wasn't that way before, but I don't know why.

Our "test" from Beth should begin today if the people at Ares did their math the same way we did.

Wainamoinen

Oops! Shocked

Sorry everyone! I didn't mean to throw anyone off. A few days ago I was trying to "catch up" on this ARG and was exploring the site... I then created an account and saw that I could edit my account, I then saw the option of changing my icon so I did (mainly out of curiosity to see if it would work because everyone elses were the same) and I happen to have a Space picture on my comp. (Halo 2 pic Wink) It ended up working and as soon as it did I thought: wouldn't that throw people off? The next day they must have thought that too because it was gone and I can no longer add an icon picture of anysize.

You could have typed my name in unfiction to see if Wainamoinen is a member... but I probably wouldn't have either.

I apologize if I got in the way... just trying to solve this mystery...

Blackbox

Anyone else listened to the blackbox mp3 file? Plays worse through an mp3 player. Download the free trial of acoustica mp3 audio mixer (Acoustica.com) and run it through that for better quality play.

He (Simon Miller) mentions a buddy named Brian Shapier (006706). Brian is replaced with a guy called Jones (a scientist) who Simon is paired with (for trying to be awkward and threatening a staff member) to visit the asteroid. It cuts out when he mentions turbulence.

Can't see anything obvious, although I can't seem to dig up anything on a scientist called 'Jones' (although i'm not really looking). Hope it helps.

Hi Godspeed,

If you look at the [Solved] Poem Puzzle thread (http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9272) you'll find a bit of discussion and a transcript.

However, I think that the fact that it has been bought up again by Lisa probably means we haven't paid it enough attention in the past.

Jones,of course, was the first of the scientists to die.
