[NEW] willstar.tv

From Ian's inbox, an e-mail dated 29 March from Will Star leads us to Will's website:

sapagoo found this article which might indicate that Will Star is a real person.

Could it be that this ARG is going to blur the lines between what is strictly in-game and what is strictly OOG/real world?

http://www.willstar.tv/watch.html is an image containing http://www.cityzen.tv/. That site is almost certainly OOG.

Still, this whole "blurring the lines" thing is kinda creepy. Mommy, I'm scared.

meet DJ Will Star

Sounds like Will Star has a DJ Academy every Thursday from 7-10pm in Manhatten.

If anyone wants to go and see if Will knows an Art of the Heist PM, it's "in the heart of the West Village" on 6th Ave., between 9th & 10th St.

Directions and information on his message board. (free to watch, $5 to scratch)

If he's involved, he may not acknowledge a PM. Ask him about Ian or "DJH4X".

Here is the WHOIS for scratch.com, although I'm sure it's mostly OOG. But hey.. for the sake of being thorough...

Internic WHOIS for scratch.com found on willstar.tv

It's not all the info. Register.com prints the information as an image, so I simply copied what seemed important.

The Stunt Specialists lists Will's nickname as Will da Beast.
http://www.thestuntspecialists.com/
A sly reference, perhaps?

The exploding stunt photo definitely looks fake, as does the description:

Quote:
Last week's GWB-Motorcycle-roman candle-highwire stunt went off without a hitch. Tune in next week to see Will Da Beast launch himself off of a razor scooter through a ring of fire and land in a pile of broken lightbulbs. Boy these guys are dangerous!

I still have no idea if this is In Game. I'm wondering if some of these things are "appropriated" so they are half IG/half OOG, in which case, that brain exploding emoticon would be good about now.

If The Stunt Specialists is an entirely fake site...good grief they put a lot of work into it.

if you register at the willstar.tv forums, there's a forum called Area 51 that is password protected (you have to be logged in to see the different forums).

Is it OOG? I'm not so sure. Will Star sent an email to Ian today, so he's at least partially in-game.

Shocked

Maybe a reference to the stunt site: In Ian's email there's a pic ( in songs and samples in the "getaway" file) which shows a little leaflet saying "stunt 109" lying on the table.
Maybe coincidence?.....

Will has acknowledged that he knows about Ian on his forum. I think this is a pretty good lead and I think we should try and squeeze him for information.

I'm still trying to work out whether Will is a real person (I think he is) - I guess the best way to find out would be for someone to go to his scratch session on Thursday (friad I can't because there's the small matter of the Atlantic in my way Sad )

If we don't get anywhere on the willstar.tv forum I may try contacting the Scratch DJ Academy on Monday and see if they can put me in touch.

Oh - and Will says noone is getting into Area 51 (spoilsport)

BTW - I'm pretty new to the ARG scene and spent all of last night digesting the whole concept and all the info we've got so far. I'd appreciate it if anyone could let me know if I'm doing anything wrong!! Embarassed

Area 52

Will has made a new forum called Area 52( Locky! )... so far nothing is in there... I believe that this forum can eventually turn into where Will spills is guts about what he knows. Hopefully... Dunno

Well I guess I got my answer as to whether Will is a real person or not...

He had put a puzzle on his forum about getting into Area 52
Quote:
so you all want into the secret forum eh?

password= English word with 6 letters (o,s,a,v,x,z,u,p arent in there, and it starts with a capital R)

ONE LETTER REPEATS ONCE

But now someone has hacked into his other private area and erased everything that was in there. Area 52 has gone too. Will seems properly pissed off (no wonder). I hope this hasn't screwed things up too much

The saga over Area 52 is being discussed over in the Puzzle Section.

Is anyone in the NYC area thinking about going to Will's DJ session tonight?
