 		Total walkthrough of this part since it seemed to take me forever and I know how fustrating it is:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
When you get to your desktop (with the little box that you can click [OK] or [Cancel]), you'll notice that one of the little icons at the bottom right is flashing an exclamation point. Click on that to bring up the Network Security Manager. The following should be checked when you first open it:

Share Files
Lock Files
Log User Account
Log Network
Encrypt
Log System Processes

You need to change some of the settings. I got it to work with only the following checked (my notes are kinda sloppy so forgive the inexactness of the names):

Share Files
Trusted LP
Hide from external
Reset data

You may have to close and reopen the Manager to get the "Hide from external" to take. Once you have all that done, press [Cancel] (I think!) It should finally load your new settings and allow you to access the desktop.

 		I feel really stupid for not being able to get past day 2 (finding out the first name of the missing girl). Anyone want to point me in the right direction? I obviously know that the six clues about her appearance are what point to it, but I can't decipher it.

Check again.
Appearance does not matter at the moment.
Pay attention to the lines.
If you need to, copy them out.
Then get rid of the word-wrapping.
After that it should be clear.
Look carefully.
See?

 		Ok I dunno if I'm just being uber dumb but I cant get the code for the database!

I found the code in the birthday list, and have tried to decypher it using the A9 cypher correct? The "key is not to forget" so I tried "remember" as the key and got another code which doesnt work. I can only think of "remember" being the logical answer. I'm having a serious blonde moment and I'm not even blonde!


Someone slap me til I get the answer please!EDIT: *slaps self* ok... I was taking the clue too literally. I'm stupid. I'll go sit in the corner now. Rolling Eyes

 		Hi!
I'm from Germany. I did not have problems with the game until today. I am at day 13 and can not find out what is on the attic. Please help me! I don't want to disappoint my Dad Wink

Maybe it's very simple but I just don't get it. Could you please give me a tipp? (not the answer).

I think the title should be "LOMBARTECH something" but there are pieces mising. is this right?

I'm using Firefox and it worked for me. Are the pieces snapping together?
