[SOLVED] Area 52 Password

Will put up a hint to the Area 52 puzzle:

Quote:
so you all want into the secret forum eh?

password= English word with 6 letters (o,s,a,v,x,z,u,p arent in there, and it starts with a capital R)

ONE LETTER REPEATS ONCE

Btw, originally the letters not in the puzzle were t,s,a,v,x,z,u,p and it was changed. It might mean t is one of the letters in the puzzle. Or he could just be messing with us.

Edit: Removed Solved tag since Will changed this on us again.
2nd Edit: Added solved tag since this new password seems stable.

The guy who isn't good with English got in, so either he was lying or it's a common word.

Well, now it seems that Area 52 is gone and Area 51 has reverted to having no posts. So who knows *what* is going on over there. Maybe they just like screwing with us cuz we keep bugging them.

Edit: Okay, it seems that while we were trying to get into 52, someone got into 51 when they weren't supposed to so now everything has been deleted. Who knows if we'll ever get any more information out of Will now.

Edit #2: Seems like the password hunt for Area 52 is back on again. Same hints apply, but the password has since been changed.

After a couple of guesses we got in to area52.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
password: Retire

but the only thing there at the moment is a picture of a guy in a sleeping bag

Edit: the password is case-sensitive.

i just got back from uni, missed everything.

can't get into area 52 with Retire

.... so yeah.

it changed again.

retire if one letter repeats... how did retire ever work?

Shocked

EDIT:

But if you need to get in there, the password is on page 55 of the "Child Philosophers:are smart machines alive?" chapter of Sherry Turkle's book "Second Self." It can be found in the second paragraph. Ends with an n. First letter is capitalized (not in the book, in the password).

quick google search reveals:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Origin

editedit: this looks like an openended puzzle.

Ok why did Will mention google when it was mentioned here. UF is OOG and if they find somthing out like that and then change it isn't that cheating in a way lol. How else did they expect us to find it. I'm thinking this will is OOG.
Sorry for the ramble.

firefox told him about Google in this thread

Don't worry no intrusion from Will, who we believe is actually Partially Ingame.

There has been some confusion over whether or not we are supposed to be finding a password for Area 51. Lemme just say this:

AREA 51 IS OFF LIMITS! This is not an in-game area. There has been no indication from either this forum or from willstar.tv that we are supposed to get in there.

I hope this clears up any thoughts anyone has on Area 51.

Yes, let us not annoy Will. I am thinking he would be a great DJ to have at an ARGFest event. Very Happy
