Okay, so the way XOR works is, with two predicates A and B:

Code:
A   B   A XOR B
T   T      F
T   F      T
F   T      T
F   F      F

Should we approach each side of the domino as a predicate and consider the "truth value" of the entire domino? If so, how? What denotes a side being true or false?[/quote]

The denote is if the two variables are different. If they are both the same, such as 00 or 11, then the answer is 0 or false.

Yeah, I just realized that. And that's where the dominoes come in. The way to play dominoes is to line up sides with the same number. One would assume we're meant to take those as "false", whatever that means.

Edit: Maybe if you denote "true" as 1 and "false" as 0, the binary of the alignments of the dominoes truth values will spell something.

I really enjoyed this one.. I wish I has more time to spend on this trail..

You need to XOR the pips from the opposite sides of the Dominoe, and then figure out which side is up.

For example, take the one in the exact middle.

Code:

XXX
 X
 X
---
 X
X X
XXX

XOR the top and bottom parts and you get:

X X
XXX
X X

Which is the letter H, vertically, or the letter I if you rotate 90 degrees. Oh wait.. It could also be the letter N if you cross the points in a different order. Or Z if you rotate. The last observation added another hour to the solve time. Cruel PM's.

Rinse, Repeat.

25 tiles later:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The circle reads (starting form the left side): WHENHONORDIESTHE
The vertical part of the + reads: MANIS
The horizontal part of the + reads: DEAD

Now excuse me while I go fix my eyes after staring at all those pips for 2 hours and trying to make our the letters..

Just for reference:

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away....

Click Red

I once rode with a host of a hundred thousand men, in the name of honor.

Click Orange

For ten long years we lay seige to our enemy.

Click Yellow

Honorable men from both sides were slain,
but the battle could not be won.

Click Green

And then, one night, it came to me. A risk, a gamble.

Click Blue

So bold, so clever. A plan that would decide the fate of two armies.

Click Indigo

My ruse worked! And we slaughtered our enemy to the last man,
and reveled in the glory and the spoils of victory!

Click Violet

If the enemys walls are strong, and their sentries astute, and their
portcullis unbreachable, then you must find another way.

Click White

Find that which they desire, that which they cannot resist, and
give it to them. Let their desire be their undoing.

They have already taken one half. Let them have the other.
Their reunion shall be the dagger that slits your enemy's neck.

Creator watch over us, so that we do not share their fate.

Nice job you guys! View Source after you reach the last page of honor and you get the rest of the story.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And after I had witnessed what my ruse had accomplished,
I stood on the ruins of a once proud and glorious civilization.
What I saw made me weep. For our men, warriors, had shown
no mercy. Any who they found, be they woman, child, or old
man, fell beneath their blades.

And amongst the ashes of this ruin, I found remorse. I found
responsibility. For it was my plan, my works that had brought
the end to an entire people.

And so I left my host, and dressed myself as a beggar. I
gathered up those that could walk, and helped carry those who
could not. Together we left those ruins, and wandered as those
without a home are wont to.

And ever northward we travelled, to the land of Azov. Ever away
from my old guilt. With those that had survived, I found a new
kinship. I could not hide my differences from them. They took
my name and shortened it, and made it of their own. They took
my agelessness, and with rumor and superstition weaved the
roots of their own new culture.

And over the years, from the ashes of their once proud beliefs,
they created first a story, then a myth. When I found one whom
with I could share my knowledge, a magik woman who knew secrets
even I had not uncovered, she slipped lose the bonds of mortality
and joined me in their legends.

As an aside, the color spectrum appears to be the resistor color code Smile

Doing some searching on the net, it seems that there are links between Odin and Azov. There is even talk that Odin was actually a real person, whom the God was created after (ie, made into a myth)
