[UPDATE] New article at the Sentinel (April 8th)
Quote:
Cahill Honoured
By CORWIN JONES
Ryan Cahill, champion of last year's Academy Games, was honoured today at a special ceremony held by the City Council for his exceptional community service. During the Polygon Park ceremony, Council Leader Camryn Scott presented Cahill with the key to the city.
In her introductory remarks, Scott said, "It is common for a champion to make token efforts at public works during his reign, but Ryan's service, like the man himself, has been truly exceptional."
Cahill pleaded humility. "I'm just an athlete," he said. "Everything I am and everything I have I owe to this great city and the hard work of all the men and women who have laboured tirelessly to make it better. ... I feel I owe it to the people of Perplex City to give something back, as my legacy."
Cahill won the 267 PCAG championship in a close final match against favourite Serena Duncan. He has long been considered a protégé of Sente Kiteway, who awarded him the Beaumont scholarship for excellence and guided his academic career with close personal attention.
Cahill's public works efforts have included visiting schools and hospitals speaking about the PCAG anti-drug policy, as well as helping to organise fund-raisers for research into cognitive disorders.

Cahill Key notes from this article:
Cahill is a protege of Sente.
Cahill is heavily involved in the community and community service.
Cahill has visited both schools and hospitals to speak.
I'm going to drop Kate an email. Certainly she's seen Cahill around, either with her father or at her school...

For a moment I thought 'key to the city' was like some skeleton key to the city, but then again i'm pretty sure its not
It's must mean 'key' figuratively, like some trophy or award, a little like the 18/21st birthday saying "key to the door".

News in brief -
Arson Suspected in Deadly Fire
Police investigators say that arson may be to blame in the Portside Docks fire nearly three weeks ago that left three dead. The fire claimed the lives of three early-morning workers at a fuel depot and destroyed the site itself before fire-fighters could suppress the blaze.

There's an apparently empty page with the headline Scott Defends Budget located HERE .
I just found it so I'm throwing it out for everyone. Anybody make anything of it?

Just found the Hospital Mulls Renovations article HERE - it's also blank.
I can't make anything from them yet. I also can't believe nobody else has tried the hospital one. Are these pages new? (Also is this the right spot to post them? I suppose if they're new today, it'll work for now.)
Edit: Is there a list of all the article pages compiled anywhere, including the blank ones? I just found a third blank one and a reference on another thread to more, but that link now goes to the main page now so I'm not sure it referred to originally.

This is what a city key is in the UK...I believe they've also been given to random celebrities for safe-keeping...it's an honorary position.

Another advertisement for the Andalusian capital is Antonio Banderas...Malaga's officials have been quick to mark his local connections and contributions to entertainment and tourism. In a recent ceremony, the local mayor handed him and his actress wife Melanie Griffiths the keys to the city.

Could be like a 'sentinel' key kind of thing. Some kind of electronic device that hold's information. Maybe like some kind of smart wallet that hold's your drivers licence, credit card, login, automated house info etc.. but this one gives them higher user access?
Also, just a quick note.. the first letter of each sentence spells out.. rdicechc

My OOG guess is that the PMs left these articles out at the last minute before updating the site and therefore aren't too relevant.
But for what it's worth, the blank headings I found (I was the guest "auto") were for the "Suit Filed Against Crispy Heaven" article and one just said "kiteway Revisited Image".
Edit: Or could this be evidence for Sente's censoring? Although I'm not sure why he'd want to keep us from details about Hospital Rennovation or Crispy Heaven law suits.

Seems like they're making sure the site is done right in other aspects. This is possible but IMHO unlikely. It may just be a distraction but I think it's there on purpose.

Thanks. Anybody seen a complete list yet? I've seen them spread through blogs and such but might be handy actually listed all together since they aren't all linked onsite.

I can't think of any valid reason for Sente to be censoring those topics either, but frankly I believe there's much more to his motives than we know, and Scarlett's also. If this thing was half as important as they make it sound, one of the only two information sources we have wouldn't be a ditzy student's blog, all "amazing" and "crazyexciting" and such. I'm just waiting for her to break into total aolspeak, like OMG. Something's not right.

The way in which Cahill is treated reminds me a lot of the way in which champions were revered in the days of the ancient Greek olympics, where there was initially a single champion and they were treated like gods on earth. Could be a parallel here...since this Cahill is the champion of "The Perplex City Academy Games"

Also, if i may toss out this obersevation, thereis a strong undertide of somewhat mixed appreciation of drugs.

This, as well as instances where athletes were tossed out of games fFor drug use. BUT, the sentinel is covered in ads fFor ceretin. It's a curious duality. Are drugs good or bad? It has been observed there are many kinds of drugs in both our worlds, and ceretin is probably one of the more benign varieties. But I cant shake the notion of this being a recurring thread of conversation. It leads nowhere yet, but something to observe, I suppose.

Drugs? Where have all the ads for Ceretin gone? I thought there were several yesterday, but now I can only find one (in the Cahill report - but even that seems to only appear randomly).
I agree with Scott that there appears to be an interesting dichotomy of drug use in Perplex City. Perhaps this follows the split between the academics (who presumably are against cognitive enhancers,as shown by their drugs tests in the games) and the less scientific, more religious types.

The "empty" headline pages have already been discussed in the main Perplex Sentinel thread... they basically follow a 15 letter filename pattern, but check the main thread for discussion of that.
