If you interpret it one way such as if say each element represents one part of the trinity and when each element is brought together it would form the Unholy Tinity of the Elements. It's all really how you interpret the data that is given to you and since it's given in cryptic messages it can be interpreted in several different ways. I just chose the most obvious and logical answer since according to scientific theory, the most logical conclusion tends to be the right one. However, it's still how you interpret the data that you can base your decisions, and I believe I made mine carefully.

hey all. i've been searching for a good ARG to start playing, one that doesn't have the mass appeal of, say, Project Syzygy/Perplexcity, because i hate wasting time wading through endless pages of spec and "wtf? omg lol ima n00b, what iz this what do i do?" posts (no offense to any newbies, it just gets old seeing the same people post the same messages time and time again). anyway, i've been lurking around this one since last night, and i added the screen names you've gotten so far to my buddy list. lo and behold, SamuelScript signed on tonight and i had a little conversation with him. what follows is a transcript of it:

SnareRushJunkie: hello?
SamuelScript: Hi?
SamuelScript: Mom? [NOTE: I have taken the liberty of posting an image of his IM wallpaper and Buddy Icon at the end of this. hopefully it will make more sense as to why he wondered if i was his mom.
SamuelScript: Is that you?
SnareRushJunkie: no, its not

SamuelScript: Oh. Bye, then.

SamuelScript: Wait.
SamuelScript: Dad?

SamuelScript: This may be the movie they don't want you to see, but by god darn, you're going to see it!

now, what i'm wondering is this: if he really is in-game, there must be a reason that his wallpaper says he loves his mom and a reason why he asked if i was his mom, right? i mean, surely he would know his mother's screen name, and i can't see any mom having a screen name with the word "Junkie" in it. i've got a friend who is going to talk to him if he signs on again, and he's going to pretend to be Samuel's mom. my friend isn't playing this ARG, but i told him to ask Samuel about the movie and the site, specifically the sound file and the movie. hopefully something comes out of this. and Misery_of_Pain, asplode is one of the best words ever. will you marry me?

I'm starting to see why they're called "ARGs"... it's not because it's short for "Alternate Reality Game". It's because that's the phrase you continually want to yell while playing them.

 		According to recent interviews with Sam Freeman, he was inspired by urban legends involving experiments performed on people in Dowington, PA.

Could Gertrude be in Dowington?

Anywho, I think samuelscript isn't the actual guy who made Unholy, I think he's just a character who doesnt really know what's going on with Martha/Jordan. I emailed him asking if he had MSN and didn't get a reply. Stupid AIM chats Razz

Everyone can disregard the Hope character btw.

FYI: The whois on Unholymovie.com pulls up a (fake) address in Dowington, but that doesnt exist. I've tried looking for Gertrude in Dowington, PA with no joy.

 		I got "Dowington" from a Fangoria interview with the filmmakers, but looking up unholymovie.com at Register.com shows the site owner as:

Martha Townsend
74 Charter Lane
Downington, PA 19380

Site created: October 27, 2004

If you go to the US Post Office site to look up the ZIP, there is no "Dowington" in Pennsylvania. Which I wish I had known when I started Googling for Gertrude - there are lots of missing "n" typos on sites out there, apparently.

As someone else already mentioned, the 74 Charter Lane address is a fake street address, and the 19380 ZIP actually belongs to West Chester, PA. The correct ZIPs for Downington according to the USPS are 19335 and 19372.

Register.com also displays a phone number for the site owner, which I won't print here. I'm hesitant to call the phone number because A) I don't want to be caller ID'd and B) if it is fake like the street address, I don't want to annoy the hell out of whoever really owns the number.

Is there an easy way to find out who owns the number?

All of this has been covered on page two of this thread. As for the date, up until March-ish there was a Department of Defense symbol on there saying basically that the site got hacked, then it changed to a black screen with an email link to mtownsend07 @aol.com (no spaces) then on Friday it changed to what you see now.
