Wes is angry & someone tattled on Dale!

Barbarellany posted this at CD:

It seems my comments to Phyllis Willingham about Dale's account of what
he saw out there in the woods has confused some people. I have people
e-mailing me and asking how I could say Dale was lying, or hallucinating, or on drugs or something. Others are saying that I implied that the Dale who talked to everyone a couple of nights ago was an imposter or something. You know, first of all, I was really hoping people might have a little more common sense than to go blurting out Dale's story to everyone. Don't they understand the possible legal consequences of dale's presence at of a possible multiple murder, if that's what really happened. Plus, we don't even know that what Dale remembers is entirely accurate; he may have been drugged or something during those missing days and what he remembers may be influenced by that. So we need to be very careful about what we say is a "fact" about anything that happened out there along those hiking trails. Damn, someone even e-mailed Chief Prufrock with Dale's story, from what Sam told me. I mean, how stupid is that? Enough of my ranting. There's a lot of sh*t going down today so I have to go. Look for a message from Dale soon. He has some important news for you.

Wes

I'd have to agree with Wes on this one, whether I trust him or not. Dale's already in trouble with the law for skipping the Grand Jury appointment. Telling Chief Prufrock could cause some problems. Especially after we've seen how the police reacted when Iris told them of her vision of the body in the lake and Phyllis suggested digitalis to the coroner. Obvisouly, the law enforcement in Aglaura is not open to psychic or metaphysical help in solving its cases (even with the town's history).

Wes reply to me

Sunny:

I'm flattered that you are interested in me and my motivations. And I also
understand you asking those questions. Here's where I am going to start with a reply. My motivations are personal, as are any person's and not necessarily open for sharing at this point. My intentions, however, should be apparent from my
actions over the past few months. I have put myself at personal risk to help Dale and the people out there aiding him. That should speak for itself.
And although I have not, admittedly, shared everything I know in some areas with everyone I have talked with, I have also never questioned anyone out there's motivation or actions. To be quite honest with you, I could freakin care less why people out there are doing what they are doing. What matters is what they do. Words create illusions and deception, actions create reality and lasting meaning.
One other thing. It seems my comments to Phyllis Willingham about Dale's account of what he saw out there in the woods has confused some people. I have people e-mailing me and asking how I could say Dale was lying, or hallucinating, or on drugs or something. Pthers are saying that I implied that the Dale who talked to everyone a couple of nights ago was an imposter or something.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that Dale said we could talk about what he told us. So no one blurted out anything or betrayed Dale, except maybe "Dale" (which I say still isn't Dale. If the Don can become young again during one of his "magical" sessions, what's to say he can't become Dale. With all of Dale's memories, passwords, etc.?) The Don is obviously very powerful.
So remember, Dale told us to talk about what happened to him. And I let Wes know that. So maybe he will see that Dale isn't Dale. Or something to that effect (affect?).

Oh come on folks.... as Wes said use some "common sense".... Dale saying to share so he doesn't have to repeat it obviously meant to us NOT the whole dang town of Aglaura and CERTAINLY NOT the Chief of Police.... PUUUUUULLLLLLLLEEEEEEZZZZZ Shocked

Actions indeed speak louder than words, and all of HIS actions scream that he cannot be trusted. He hasn't shared his information with Dale either.. He wants to get philosophical??

Information is ammunition, by withholding information from Dale, he's sending him into battle underequipped.

By withholding information from the two main groups, he's stilting our ability to plan ahead, create contigency plans and find ways to set up our mutual foes. Oh.. I forgot.. He thinks that the DEGs are swell guys.

I've got half a mind to send Phyllis part of the chat, where he admits that he trafficked in her property. Let's see how he likes them apples. :X

As far as I'm concerned the Wes we knew before his disappearance, is dead.. I don't know who this moron is, but I do know I don't like him and I don't trust him.

Ok.. I hate to say it, but he has a point with that remark.. Whoever was brainded enough to do that, should have their entire body covered with papercuts, then be dunked into salt water, before having their nails torn from their extremities followed by drawing and quartering them.

I've been some boneheaded actions during this game, both by characters and by players, but this one is definitely top 5 material imo.

Care to explain the funeral then?? The Don was there.. Dale was there.. And the sparks were flying left and right. Iris was there too, and she didn't notice any unusual activity either. Soul transferal, as you are discussing, would show up like a bonfire on IR gear, to a psychic, especially one whose abilities have been boosted by her surroundings like Iris.

If the Don was that powerful, then Wes, Sam, Phyllis, Iris and her boys would be deader than doornails by now. Seeing as they're still alive, then that hypothesis doesn't hold up.

First of all. Someone mentioned that whoever goes to Empty Threats comes back "changed". Iris is one of these people. Since her Empty Threats visit, she has been different.
Also, Elijah Snow brought this to my attention. Iris is another plant name. So maybe she is one of "them". So Iris wouldn't mention anything at the funeral, because she is hiding info.
I agree that if the Don would be that powerful, Wes, Sam, Phyllis, Iris and her boys would be dead. But remember, Wes is not Wes. Sam is not Sam. Iris is not Iris. Dale has to stay alive- per the Don. As for Phyllis, she is an "innocent". She really knows nothing. And for Iris' boys, they would be fine because Iris isn't talking. Remember she saw the Don at Empty Threats sitting in a chair like a throne or something. So the Don is some type of King.

You guys know how I think. Bring in on. You're making me think even more. However crazy it may be. Laughing

And yes, I know, that by "Dale" telling us to tell others does not include law enforcement. But how do we know Chief Prufrock was really even told? Wes could be lying. Trying to create a rift between us. Trying to divide us. Since when is he and Chief Prufrock on such good terms? She won't just go up to Wes and tell him or vice versa.

a)Define "them"...

b)Though granted, Iris does seem changed somewhat, might be meta-knowledge, but it could be explained away by something as simple as a different BTS answering the e-mails. We all have our own style of writing afterall. But to use in-game knowledge. Lack of sleep, frustration, and undue influence by Wes could be influencing her.

c)Sam is not Sam?? Clarify.. Unlike Wes, Sam was never grabbed by the DEGs. Unlike Iris, Sam has never been to ET.

d)If you think the Don will let something as trivial as innocence get in his way.. Well.. Pass along some of said medicine to Iris then, might make her open up more. Razz

e)The Don is no king.. He's an usurper.. Mordred.. Or Yyrkoon to reference back to the Elric Saga, with which CTW has some parallels.

f)Reread what he said.. According to Sam, someone e-mailed the sherrif with said tale. Sam is the sys-admin. He can check anyone's e-mail account if he wants. Question is, was he capable of deleting it before she read it.

f)Not that I particularly trust Wes, but quite frankly I wouldn't be surprised if someone was "unthinking" enough to send information to the sherrif. After out little buddy Insider, can you really be that surprised at the brainlessness of some folks??

g)Thinking is fine.. Just need some proof to back it up, you haven't shown any thus far.
