DSC00095.jpg has a red sign on it with the word "affittasi" and as best i can tell it's an itallian word that is something like "for rent" (based on googling for the word and looking at the sites returned).

BDOC2.pdf is some sort of recipt. Guess i was right about italy, looks like someone was getting some supplies. Could be the drill stuff listed in the other document.

My go at a babelfish translation.

Company DIALIMENTAZIONE of Florence

suppliers putty and concretes (wholesale)
Via della Castellani, 493
54178 Firenze

Number (phone) of Client
fir280980583824x

warehouse total 92.51 Euro
paid sum 92.51 euro
difference due 0 euro

Beginning services Feb 10, 2005

all the bills paid within 30 days will not incur in one suspension of the service

Yes, it's italian for "for rent". I looked at the pics but unfortunately tere seems to be no element useful to guess the exact location. I'll have another look tomorrow - it's 5.30AM here and I haven't slept in 2 days.

It's pretty much correct, incredibly for babelfish. Wink
A couple of corrections follow:

Quote:

Company DIALIMENTAZIONE of Florence

under that there's another address - like there are two different companies involved.
Plus, no Italian company would call itself "di Florence" - Florence is "Firenze", as correctly stated in the second address.

As far as I know, there is no such street in Firenze. The grammar is simply wrong: "della" is singular feminine, while "castellani" is plural, masculine. There mey be a "via della castellana" or a "via dei castellani" ("castellano" being the keeper of a castle in Italian), but as it is it's obviously a fake, not a reference to any existing company or address in Florence. However, this could mean that Florence is the city portrayed in the italian photos from ppics.zip - the architecture is compatible with that.

No, it's not an Italian phone number. Looks like a made-up, generic "client account number". "fir" likely = "FIRenze"

Not "warehouse" but, literaly, "Total deposit", or simply "total payment".

paid sum 92.51 euro

More correctly: "Services start: Feb 10, 2005"
and:
"all the bills NOT paid within 30 days WILL incurr in the suspension of the service".

HTH.
The sun is rising, and work emails from the Italian morning are already knocking at my inbox. Time to sleep a couple of hours, or maybe to get another coffee, work another 12 hours and then, finally, die. x_x

the "american" intersections listed Aster Rd. x Columbine Rd and Myrtle Dr X Goldenrod Dr. may be some sort of puzzle/clue.

The pictures are most likely taken from the following city:
Lower Macungie Twp, PA 18062

Both intersections are in the city within a block or two of each other.
It's viewable on google maps. Looks like a small rural town in PA about 100 miles west of New York. (near Allentown)

Update: satellite photo of myrtle/goldenrod intersection where the house in 89.jpg might be: http://csua.org/u/bmv
