 		Thankyou all.
I'm not sure what to say...I wanted you all to know what happened to my family, and I'm warmed by the response.

Anything you can do to help my niece is above and beyond. Warm wishes and caring thoughts might seem...weak and empty...but I assure you that they are not. They mean so very much...

We're doing as well as can be expected. Tia is doing well, and is in the care of my younger brother and both of her grandmothers. She has an extensive extended family which I'm sure will be growing exponentially.

She is a remarkable child...I think I'm quoted as saying that she's "scary smart". My mind is a constant whirlwind of thought and emotion lately, and it makes the strangest connections. When I first heard the 911 call, right there amongst the horror, anger, outrage and sorrow, I thought to myself,"This sounds like the Sleeping Princess." It's that thought that reminded me of you. You all are my friends, and though I regret having to burden you with this, I know I would want to know.

So please forgive me.

The www.tiahernlen.com website is currently just a placeholder, with only the barest information on it. This site will soon evolve. We are going to use the impetus from this tragedy to change things. This kind of horror happens to far too many.

 		Your family continues to be in all of our thoughts and prayers. We all grieve with you.

The online community is amazing, as the fund we set up at ARGN is at over $1400 and growing. I'll be in touch to find out from you where best to send it all.

Thanks so much to everyone who has contributed so far. Money is the last thing a family needs to worry about at a time like this.

My first thought when I heard the call was also of the Sleeping Princess. It was a very odd feeling. And then when I heard that sweet girl was related to one of our friends...I am so sorry for your and her loss. She is an amazing girl.

ouroboros - we are your friends and none of this is a burden to us. Please don't feel you need to apologize. I know we only wish that there were more we could do to help you. We are concerned about you, and your well-being, as well as that of your niece.

Please stay in touch. We will reach out to you as well. Don't hesitate to post anything that you need help with, even if it is "just" a word of support. If we can't give each other that, then we don't really have a purpose.

It is the same with me. I know it sounds lame, but I really cannot express my feelings on this matter through words.
It is impossible to imagine such a loss, and therefore I really don't know what to say in an attempt to ease the suffering that you must certainly be going through.

All that I can say is that I am, and will be, thinking of you and your family, and I sincerely hope that in time you will recover, at least partially, from this terrible tragedy. I know that I speak for everyone here at Unfiction when I say that we have all been touched deeply by your experience in some way, and I wish you all the best for the future.

 		oh no, that's awful. Just hearing about it makes me want to break down and cry for that young girl's terrible experience.

I'm 14, and I'd probably have hands too shaky to press the keys on the phone, let alone be able to relate exactly what happened to the operator. That girl showed more courage than I could in a situation like that.

I really would donate, if only I had any money, but my thoughts are with her.

After organizing all of the data I believe we need to go ahead and get the ball rolling on the fund raiser, I have spoken at length with Rose and Ouroboros to get the next step out of the way.

Beginning the organization as a simple and small group action to raise money for a single named benifitiary, there is one final step that must be cleared. Ultimatly the organization is planned to expand nationally being launched, maitained and grown from this community and our respective affiliates.

The working Plan:
Small events held/organized widley by members within the community. Members wishing to help/assist in the organization, need only sign up by forwarding your contact information to myselfor other singed members. Our goal is to raise money to help support Tia finaincially for things like school, food, clothing, ect.
Small events mean Local events and grass-roots solicitation. Local radio stations (particularly those who have played the 9-1-1 tape) schools, even local buisnesses from the mom-and-pop stores to the corperate chains are all likly sponcers/hosts for events that can be anything from a coin drop to a car wash to even a foot-race.

But simply for the sake of progress, it will begin small, and in the next two weeks plans and paperwork will be drafted to expand. Anyone interested in helping to sign as a member is asked to please contact me via email [incitatus4(at.)gmail(dot.)com] or via phone [845-313-9328]


Now, the first major group efforted step is to come up with a name.
To that end Ouroboros wanted us to come up with a name for the charity.

(Again, mods, I am not constantly capable of getting online access, so if you could modify in additional suggestions as they appear that would rock)
