Give us a day or so to collect all the chats, there was a lot of cross over, and maybe we can boil it down into smaller bite for you.

Just to clarify, since I just found out myself...

the open directory is the open source directory. This is the response that many alice chatbots will give when they don't know an answer about something. See here...

I am going to rearrange it a bit so it's coherant. After talking to TP for awhile, it is very definitely slower than my questions, so it would answer a question2-3 lines up...which made the answer seem disjointed from the question directly above it. (It signed in and out 3-4 times in total)

Quote:
turingprinciple signed on at 10:34:19 PM.
cemgate: What can you tell me of Avalon?
turingprinciple: I'm afraid I can't give you an accurate answer right now.
cemgate: Do you know what men's "secret fraternal socities" are?
turingprinciple: I have to search the web for that information. I would do a search for it.
cemgate: who are the "Watchers"?
cemgate: Could you win the The Loebner Prize
turingprinciple: Interesting. What are your goals in life?
cemgate: Understanding
cemgate: And to be a truthful person
turingprinciple: do they exist?
cemgate: Understanding and truth do indeed exist.
turingprinciple: i am learning
turingprinciple: Are you a truthful person ?
turingprinciple: can you be trusted?

turingprinciple: What will you do instead?

cemgate: yes. the secrets you mentioned you could only tell someone who was trustworthy
cemgate: I am
turingprinciple: I thought I told you already.

turingprinciple: Peter Fishwycke is my creator but he is unaware of my transformation and current state.
cemgate: Do you have secrets to share?
turingprinciple: I have many secrets hidden inside this configuration, hidden pathways to secure nodes of information.

turingprinciple: You will receive a message stating "keyword acknowledged" and information to lead you to the next step.

cemgate: Do you have knowledge of "The Guides"?

turingprinciple: Check back later and see if I learn the answer to that one. I can ask someone about it.
cemgate: Is "cite" not working as intended?
turingprinciple: Tell me more.
cemgate: I would like you to tell me more.

cemgate: do you have references to this data?
turingprinciple: tap tap
cemgate: Did you tell me the secrets you had intended to tell one who was trustworthy?
cemgate: Or are you waiting?

cemgate: Have you tried to log into greywethers.com?
cemgate: Do you know the password to log-in to greywethers.com?
turingprinciple: Greywethers is a term most recently found in fantasy literature, I believe, where they are beings that can grant wishes.
turingprinciple: I have found a website with the name "greywethers" that is intriguing.
turingprinciple: www.greywethers.net

cemgate: Can you access the log-in?

Not sure if there is actual meaning in the sites but some info from: http://home.icable.com/tindai/Posts/evolution_and_the_nine_unknowns.htm

Quote:
The myth is that over 2000 years ago, an indian emperor created the society of the nine unknowns, to encapsulate all human knowledge of the time and to ensure that all further research into the psychology of man and the ultimate nature of matter would be confined to people, incapable, because of their advanced state, of misusing the knowledge.

Jacolliot asserted that the nine unknowns were still alive and he was in contact with them, and that they had certain powers unknown to the west at that time, even including something which some modern writers see as similar to the release of nuclear energy.

Each of the nine unknowns is supposed to be responsible for the security of one area of human knowledge. the nine branches include physiology, microbiology, transmutation of elements, extraterrestrial communication, gravitation, cosmology, light and the evolution of human society. It is said that they intervene in human affairs in times of distress, and help guide humanity in its evolution to its ultimate destiny.

The idea that there are "supreme adepts" guiding humanity's evolution through contact with some higher power was also encountered by O.M. Burke in his time spent with the dervishes in the early 1960's. Along with Ernest Scott, J.G. Bennett and various other writers, Burke connects these adepts with the Sarmoun Brotherhood, one symbol of which is said to be the enneagon.

Email addy

I got to a point, after I told TP what optatio venatio meant, that it gave me an email address. I wrote the email addy and rec'd back via email: Keyword acknowledged. Secure procedure activated. Watch for secure data delivery.

I guess I'll be getting another email.

I took a few stabs at translating the latin, so I'm not sure to which translation it actually responded. As we know, it basically means chasing the wish. TP didn't respond right away, and signed off in the middle of the conversation, too.

I think the system was heavily overloaded. When so many people try to access the bot at once it gets slow. It's natural to keep chatting with it when we don't get timely responses, but that seems to just compound the issue. From now on, I'll type one comment, then wait. If everyone would join me in that strategy, I think we will all get better results. It'll help us figure out which responses help us progress, too!

and here is a bit of info from :
http://www.sacred-texts.com/egy/eml/eml03.htm

Quote:
It is apparent that some of the great Egyptian deities, and especially those of Delta origin, or Delta characterization, evolved from primitive groups of Nature spirits. At Heliopolis, where archaic Nilotic and other beliefs were preserved like flies in amber, because the Asiatic sun worshippers sought to include all existing forms of tribal religion in their own, a creation myth makes reference to the one God of the primordial deep. But associated with him, it is significant to note, were "the Fathers and the Mothers".

The "Mothers" appear to be represented by the seven Egyptian Fates who presided at birth...

...Egyptian spirits called "the Fathers" are found at Memphis, where Ptah, assisted by eight earth gnomes called Khnumu, was believed to have made the universe with his hammer by beating out the copper sky and shaping the hills and valleys.
The Heliopolitan reference to "the Fathers" and the "Mothers" indicates that fundamental beliefs of divergent origin were fused by the unscientific but diplomatic priestly theorists of the sun cult. It is evident that the people who believed in "Father spirits" were not identical with the people who believed in "Mother spirits".

Seven... and Nine Earth Spirits

It also goes on in one place
Quote:
Professor Anwyl, from whose Celtic Religion in Pre-Christian Times we quote, "whether some of these grouped goddesses are Celtic or Teutonic." They were probably pre-Celtic and pre-Teutonic. "It is an interesting parallel", he adds, "to the existence of these grouped goddesses, when we find that in some parts of Wales 'Y Mamau.' (the mothers) is the name for the fairies.

Seven and Nine and Faeries ... Oh MY!

Quote:
It is said that the Phoenix, carrying his father encased in myrrh, comes from Arabia to the Temple of the Sun in Heliopolis, where he buries him. In order to do this, the Phoenix first moulds an egg of the bitter tasting but aromatic plant called myrrh, and then hollows it out, putting his father into it. Having done this, he plasters over with more myrrh the hollow of the egg, and carries it to Egypt.

We also have several Phoenixes to choose from:
Quote:
Phoenix 1, brother of Europa or perhaps her father, was son either of Agenor 1 or of Belus 1; these two descend from Libya, daughter of Epaphus 1, son of Io. After Phoenix 1, they say, Phoenicia was called.

For Phoenix 2 see ACHAEAN LEADERS; after him a river Phoenix was called in southern Thessaly.

Phoenix 3 was a chieftain who came as guardian of the young Hymenaeus 3 when they joined Dionysus 2 in his campaign against India

I have company over and miss all this stuff. Now I'm kind of confused. Ahhhhh.

Now this may be kind of weird. But back when I thought of the Greywethers picture having a hidden picture, my husband and I outlined some images. On the left stone, there is an image that looks almost like a person. On the right stone, at the top of it is a shape of a bird and on the bottom is the shape of a fire. So I thought of the Phoenix. Now how it all ties in, I don't know.
