AHA! In the header:
Code:
C a r R e n d e r 3 6 0 _ M a g a z i n e _ C o v e r _ r e _ t o u c h e d u p
Guess we now know what the successor to XBM is..

Okay, Red herring.
But delving into the EXIF data gave us two clues to the XBox2 IRL:
1: it's not a screenshot
2: it's the coverart for the official XBOX2 Mag.. I think that's why there was all that mac header suff. most graphic artists use macs for processing and layout.

[COLONY] Yay Stuff In the Yay Colony, it says that we need five members to make it to the next step. Who left Yay, when there were so many people in it? Did ARGolonists and Yay combine?

Not that we know of. But you're not the first yay'er to report the same problem. I've also seen it reported for other colonies. How many Colonist points are you showing?

It's Ferrari 360 Modena... link to Xbox 360? Fits in with the puzzle answer too... imagine if the Atari guy had a (Ferrari or Xbox) 360 instead of a Stella (Bycicle or prototype console).
BTW, Someone else in another forum came up with this connection.

The name in the WHOIS was U Enzo... Enzo was the first name of the Ferrari designer. Just a thought.

Hi, new to this, so bear with me.
on the 1426.jpg, which you've pointed out has ;
C a r R e n d e r 3 6 0 _ M a g a z i n e _ C o v e r _ r e _ t o u c h e d u p
in the header.
below the headlight (just about where the reflection of lights look like the letter 'C'), there appears to be a shoddy bit of photoshop work.
It looks like part of a letter 'X' and the rest has been cloned over (badly).
Anyone else see it?

interesting...
I've been playing with that spot in corel, and I can't bring out any more than the left side of the X that's on the lighter red... the darker portion of the red paintjob is clean, and doesn't look like there's been any cloning (or the cloning job was very very good)... the shading is accurate and smooth (aside from typical jpg artifacting).
Dunno what to think of it. Might be something, might not... I'm inclined at this point to think not

There's another thread on this, what looks like a "3" is hidden under the cloning you noticed

A couple of things.
1. The dev kits for the nex-gen xbox are actual Apple Power Macintosh G5s. The next-gen xbox will have an IBM PowerPC processor that is very similar to the G5 chips in macs. Link.
2. Most graphic artists use macs anyway.
3. You can tell this picture was at least in part created in a 3d modeling program by looking at how the stadium lights are reflected off the front fender of the car. As the light gets stretched by the curve of the fender, the round stadium lights begin to have straight edges, veritices and take on a polygonal look. [/my 2 cents]
