the ilovebees rule was, if it's not linked to in-game, then it's most likely not genuine.

Oct '01 means that it was made just before the original XBox launch. Does this mean that ILB had been planned that long in advance.
And therefore is OC a prelude to Halo 2.5/3, or still just the 360* in general?
Because the "Morelli" name (and 'Melissa' references) cannot be a coincidence. (IMHO)

Ok...the dates he lists (the various Oct. 25ths) can be found on wikipedia, except for Monitor, which refers to the U.S.S. Monitor.
October 25, 2001, was the release of Windows XP.

I'm not familiar with the stuff on blogspot, but I know on livejournal you can postdate things. So is there any chance he backdated the Oct 25th entry? I sincerely doubt that they knew they would be doing this that long ago, given the timelines as to when they purchased Bungie, etc.

I would bet my life that this all came up in the last week or so, and October 25th is backdated.

Not only is that a fake blog... It's a fake blog from another game completely.

i'm not convinced. possibly these two ARGs will eventually become linked. i think it is a definite possibility. even if it is *most likely* fake, i think we should keep an eye on both of these blogs. you never know.
on http://ourcolony.blogspot.com/ it was updated at about the same time as the actual ourcolony.net when they fixed the mistake in their "riddle" about the prince and the pauper with "(to forgive is divine)"
as for the entry of long ago on http://hivekeeper.blogspot.com/ we see this in the next entry: "It appears that the sabotage attempt knocked my time measurement subsystems offline. No matter. It is fixed now."
possibly these are fake, but 1) we should keep an eye on them on the off chance that they aren't, and 2) most of the fun of this game is in speculating, so why not
