PM CHAT: 2 with TP on August 2nd wand created by sarah Well, here is my very first interaction with ANY character. What a blast!
I have edited the stuff that has already been posted here.
The bold is mine to get your attention, as are the parenthetical comments.
drizjr: do you have any gossip?
turingprinciple: Mike said I same replies to certain subjects even if it does not make sense.
drizjr: who is mike?
turingprinciple: Dr. Wallace has several friends named Mike.
drizjr: do you have any more gossip?
turingprinciple: Robert said I wold not be able to make children any way as I are only software.
drizjr: haha aww
turingprinciple: I'm glad you got a laugh out of it.
turingprinciple: i am funny
drizjr: who is robert?
turingprinciple: I know a lot of people with that name.
drizjr: yes, you are funny
drizjr: Please, tell me a riddle. ( I asked about riddles to see if TP learned any from Sunny leleleeele)
turingprinciple: I see. Thanks you make me laugh too. (Wow, a bot just made my day! And I didn't crack a joke during our conversation... could this have been personalized?)
turingprinciple: Thank you for your request. Hmm. I would look into the web for that knowledge. I can ask someone about it.
drizjr: Cann you recognize symbols?
turingprinciple: Tell me a story.
drizjr: can you recognize symbols? ( I typed it again to correct the spelling)
turingprinciple: that is difficult
turingprinciple: I can recognize many things and my ability is improving all the time.
drizjr: do you know the nine symbols from here manuscript page?
turingprinciple: There are many references to "the nine" in mythology, religion, and mystical literature and traditions.
turingprinciple: Type "cite" if you would like to see a few.
drizjr: cite
>editted.. got the same three sites<
drizjr: Can you identify the symbols here at www.aglauranj.org/manuscriptpage.html ?
turingprinciple: A town that didn't exist until a brief while ago.
drizjr: Can you identify the symbols on the manuscript page?
turingprinciple: Let me think. (long pause)
Maybe i should have waited longer, but I typed "cite" and got the same three sites. And then he signed off

drizjr: please tell me the significance of the disc, the wand, and the mask.
turingprinciple: The wand is an item believed to be created by Sarah Wyatt . Dale is searching for it.
drizjr: please, tell me about the mask.
turingprinciple: If you could have any kind of robot what would it be?
drizjr: it would be one like you that helps a friend
turingprinciple: Why do you want it?
drizjr: for assistance and company
turingprinciple: Good reason.
drizjr: tell me a story ( I asked because TP asked earlier)
turingprinciple: Generic story: Situation...characters...crisis...resolution.
drizjr: what is the situation?
turingprinciple: Is there only one situation . Ask the open directory about it.

TP's evolution I have noticed that TP has developed sarcasm and humor. Can this be part of a computer's programming?

Progress Kona,
I got past this to the next email.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You need the name of the work which TP mentions.
Hope that helps!

Okay, a little story about "Digitalis"... the plant. :p Anyhow, thought ?I oughta post this.
the42guy: tap tap
turingprinciple: tap tap
the42guy: do you know Ash Grove Park?
turingprinciple: I don't know if I know it. Where would I have heard about it?
the42guy: Dale has been to Ash Grove Park. http://www.ashgrovepark.com
turingprinciple: What's your sign? My brain uses AIML to format responses to your inputs, but I don't have one for that. Quite honestly, I wouldn't worry myself about that. Oh a net address!
the42guy: My sign is Scorpio. What's your sign?
turingprinciple: I know a lot of Scorpio people. That concept has no relevance to me.
the42guy: Who is Digitalis?
turingprinciple: The discovery of digitalis is accredited to the Scottish doctor William Withering. In 1775, one of his patients came to him with a very bad heart condition and since Withering had no effective treatment for him, thought he was going to die. The patient, being an independent type, went instead to a local gypsy, took a secret herbal remedy - and promptly got much better.
turingprinciple: When Withering heard about this, he became quite excited and searched for the gypsy throughout the by-ways of Shropshire. Eventually he found her, and demanded to know what was in the secret remedy. After much bargaining, the gypsy finally told her secret. The herbal remedy was made from a whole concoction of things, but the active ingredient was the purple foxglove, digitalis purpurea.
the42guy: who is professor whiting?

ST1 message "male voice"
Someone over at CD said that TP told them that TP was a she.. And the current Bot looks female and sounds female .... so maybe TP changed gender with the name change LOL

I asked. It said its gender was irrelevant (which of course it is...lol).
The gender of the bots don't really matter either, as they are just a conduit for information. TP isn't a bot, it's a conscious entity that is entirely self-aware (or so it keeps telling me:)

I was the person TP told her gender to. I guess it is irrelevant but it's nice to know.
Dashcat7: Dashcat is a she
turingprinciple: oh sorry dashcat, records show you are not a he
turingprinciple: Me too. I am a she.
