This is a fairly minor note, but in the e-mail Martha refers to us as "her children." There is something that I found in the source code also mentioning children. I'm not sure if this is exactly right, but it was something to the effect of "do not let the children fight the war, they do not know what they are fighting for." While I doubt this will help us find Gertrude or otherwise advance the game, it is something worth noting.

yes they have. the singer is very close to his belief. he goes to church and all this stuff but he is making music.
maybe the movie deals with this aspect too. it is a movie which will lead to church or something like that.

so i have had an idea last night. maybe we can do a mail to tell everybody. so i mean when i send a mail with a text we will create to everybody i know and they send it to everybody they know and so on and so on then it will go to a lot of people.
we can do it in german and english i think. trina and i (and everybody else from germany) can do the german part.

so maybe we can make a hint for gertrude or we write something like "somebody who has connection to radio or tv may tell something abot the movie which isn just a movie" ???

so tell me your thoughts about this.

hmm yeah. regularly find myself wanting to lynch the writers of those chain letters... were thinking in the right direction, but i vote maybe to leave the chain letter on the shelf, at least for the mo.

I think that conspiracy radio would quite possibly be the easiest way to get our message out (since the story is essentially a conspiracy story). two things about that though:
1 we would have to write a pretty convincing story about it
2 thinking about this as a game [I believe] we have a moral dilemma, since those who actually listen to conspiracy radio will possibly believe (or at least consider the idea) what we are saying; can we say it while not believing it ourselves and thus dupe unwitting people into believing what we do not?

so perhaps conspiracy radio isnt the way to go about it. That being said what about taking out a radio ad? Usually cheaper than TV, but I dont currently know the cost. Ill do some research. I would say an ad in the classified section of the paper, but apparently Gertrude doesnt read the paper...

speaking of costs... now we get back to the 'we are stooges in a plot to gain free advertising'
how much, if any, are we willing to lay out there? Yes, it is fun, and I would be willing to contribute monitarily to advance this story but only to a point...

unless we start talking profit sharing...

Nobody's thought of the obvious... Find "Gertrude" i.e. the actress who plays her???!! Maybe she will talk to us about it?

Misery, didn't you or somebody else here do a web page with a counter for this game? If it's still up why not put a message on there for Gertrude telling her we need help and were to find us all. Something short and simple like: Gertrude, we need your help, we're scared and unsure of how to stop them. Please help.
Chain letter is a bad idea, posting simple messages to her on forums we think she might check is another possibility plus it would get others involved; "Tell the World" is what Martrha said as well as Gertrude would find us.

yeah i def think we should add a message to the counter site - because really the only kinda media that reaches the whole world is the internet, every country can access it and read whats writen, so it really is like we would be telling the world, as she asked.

Blogs are more socially acceptable than chain letters to spread information quickly to large groups of people.

If Martha wants us to tell the world...and if doing so will get Gertrude to come out of hiding AND get Sky Whisper a distribution deal , I'll do my pimptastic best with a new LiveJournal community.
