Well, I've tried all sorts of standard decodes on it and got nothing at all, so it's either a flase-lead or something we need a specific key to decrypt.

Thanks for the welcome, and don't worry about the change - buy yourself something nice.

As to the guy being a hacker - well, that would fit with the computery end of the trail, and I'm getting more and more convinced that if this is anything than it's an address of some sort - either www. or email.

EDITED: Being a mong and forgetting all sorts of things.

Okay am totally new to ARGs and forums so bear with.

I think that this is puzzle because:

1. "YOU AND YOUR EGO" seems to be relaed to first email which is flagged with the subject " problem"

2. the words "maybe you can find space in that oversized head of yours" seem to support the post above that the space in the 'code' is significant.

3. i think the code in the second email needs to be used (applied to) in conjunction with the txt (or something nfi) of the first email as both emails are relaed and were drafted on the same day (9hr 11 mins) apart.

4. and finally the first email really stresses the "relationship" aspect of things and "working together".

Does this make sense or is my first ARG doing my head in??!!

I think the message is encrypted. The text in that last section looks like encryption output. What you need is a pass phrase and then a decryption program to run. The game indicates the Kremlin is the preferred encrypt / decrypt program. I have tried a couple of shots, on the whole message and just the text, maybe it is only a partial.

Web Page?

Some have thought that the code may be a webpage. Unfortunately "com", "net", "gov", and "edu" doesn't work with the theory that the shift is one row down then left or right. However "13t" could turn into "org". I haven't been able to turn this into a general algorithm yet so it may be nothing.
