[ARGish] Spylegend.com I thought I found this from a link here, but couldn't find a post that mentions SpyLegend at all.
In the way of introduction, SpyLegend is a game where you can sign up online to become an agent. Once you sign up, they have a variety of free and fee missions to earn Spybux. They do a good job of immersing you in the lingo of spycraft and have their own forums.
A few weeks ago I signed up and started playing around with it. I decided to give them my real info.
The other day, I got this packet in the mail with no return address. Inside was a very official looking letter and an evidence bag. After my heart skipped a beat or three (yes, it did look real at first glance), I realized it was from this site and they had assigned me a mission.
I've scanned the items in the envelope so you can see what I got. It's pretty interesting.

The evidence bag contains a CD that is 90% transparent. I haven't looked at the contents yet, but I have initiated contact with the other agent. Looks like fun stuff!

Upon rereading, this sounds spammish. I'm not affiliated with these guys in any way. I just thought I'd post since it gave me one of those WTF moments we all live for in this genre.

I got a letter much like the one bill got today, but it was different. Here's what it says:
Quote:
Agent spaceboy,

The letter was signed by Dwayne Lodell, Director of operations, National Security Agency.

not that this will add any additional info, I got one too. I was actually a almost more excited to get the letter to "Agent Varin" than I was to get the rebate check. Almost.

Yeh, it doesn't seem like alot is going on...
I'd sign up for a mission but the only one it'll let me choose is the one that needs a bluetooth device.. which I don't have
that and it has a price =/
