[PUZZLE] sightseeingpt.doc {SD 2/docs/sightseeing.zip/doc}

In these documents, look behind the text, which is easily done with a CTRL-A (select all) and a CTRL-X (cut) -- there's a couple images there. Will try to extract them and upload them

edit - you must be in Print Layout View to see them, Web View and Normal do not work

Edit: title clarification -- Rowan

They were in the header/footer

Copied out and pasted into MS Paint, these are the originals. I will try to edit them to bring out the contrast, but these are the images in their original condition

edit: uploaded higher quality versions of the images, removed the lower quality images

I just found those and was on my way in to post them. damn you guys are quick.

The images were actually set as watermarks on the documents but were set to be really washed out. I did the save as webpage trick to extract the origional images. Nice stuff.

Nice work nhansard, I tried saving as webpage filtered, which didn't work, so I copied them out, which kept the washed out property. Yours produced much better copies.

These appear to support the theories of the timing of the guards in this thread

They also seem to tie in with the contents of ppics.zip (from the second SD disk)

It appears the information in Image 001 conferms the spec that the colums of numbers in the upper left of the picture showing a gas line map from the quarteroffour document are times of guard sweeps.

Thankfully, the new card has provided us with a more complete list

I would guess that room 15b figures big into their plans.

Whether what they want is in there, or if it's just a point of entry remains to be seen.

Ok, this is definitely the 3rd floor of the Ufizzi gallery in Florence. Map here looks like the rooms are:
43. Caravaggio Room
44. Rembrandt Room
45. Eighteenth century Room

So i'm going with this being the location of the object/objects rather than point of entry as it's on the 3rd floor of the building.

In both files, toggling the "field codes" above the place names reveals {INCLUDEPICTURE "http://www.tourvacationstogo.com/images/trans.gif" \* MERGEFORMATINET}

This appears to be a spacer file that the toursite uses in their vacation descriptions, but I couldn't find a tour that matched the itinerary and descripitons.

So the text from the doc files were copied from tourvacationstogo.com?

pt1 seems pretty similar to this tour:
