Yes we did, mentioned in an early article. I think it's been re-included as a gentle reminder of something important that's not had much spec (relatively speaking!)

also- did we already know that centrifuge owned key systems? something there maybe? to do with these keys?
I would like to point out a subtle yet important symantic. We dont know who actually owns the Key Systems. There are myriad possibilities: [keys are owned by the gov't, and centrifuge/KSI are only systems anaylsts] [keys are generic enough, or standardized enough, or universal enough, no one company owns the concept, but multiple people can design their version of how they should act] [and on and on..].
We don't really know the exact economic model of Perplex City. If, fFor example, they are a operating under syndicalism, Companies -- labour unions, specifically -- own everything. If, on the other hand, they are more aligned with situationalism . . . well, that's something else altogether.

the appearence is that the equinox is a good day to start building, just as the first of the year was often considered a good day, so new projects get started that day, which would be an economic boom. now, WHY its considered a lucky day...
might be cube related. what day was it discovered again?

They have gotten over the loss of their cube pretty quickly. No mention of it nor Sente in a while...
Actually, all Sente has done in the last few months has written one letter and left it on a desk somewhere. Even Scarlett has put more of an effort into the cube.. and Sente is some head honch of the Academy. I think we should all line up and each give Sente a slap each. That will put the cube back into the headlines of the Perplex City Sentinel.

I'm sorry to do this, but I've been looking for an hour... I just want to find the 21 march edition of the sentinel... I just feel that horse could do with another flogging. I'm sorry if it's location is obvious.

Fictional spec(?)
Von stole the cube and is using young ms. Kiteway to cover his tracks. He's probably planted Grandson of Djinn on her laptop and gotten her to believe the system is in tip top shape - when actually it's clustering an army of zombie cpu cycles to outpace KeySurety's network scans.
He knows he can't outrun them forever - but it just has to buy him enough time to arrange for his 'horrible accident' and slip through the cube to Earth - free to profit from his technologically advanced services in our commercialized marketplace.
Little does Von know that the elder(?) Kiteway daughter overheard his conversation with Scarlett and deduced from his philandering tone he was more than a rascal. While this information is powerful - her leverage now is insufficent to prove Von's guilt . . .

The smallest increases were in electronics, with durable goods actually performing worse than last year
This equates with a standard economic model. Durables are highly affected by economic state, due to the longer wear, and because they represent a significant investment people wait until they are cheaper or there is more money in the economy.
This isn't in any way relevant as far as I can tell. Maybe someone else can link it up, or it will be needed or a later date. Or maybe it's just fluff, even so I think it's worth sharing.
