Well-spotted! Previously alphabetical and now...not. This logo has come from The Sentinel, the previous one presumably came direct from Sente/MC (assuming he's not tampering with the Sentinel, as some unfavourable articles have come through); not sure of the significance though. As an aside file name is: academy_crest_230

Edited ambiguous wording and punctuation (I have a thing for the ellipsis)

I think that's just a naming convention. The ads are in directories by image size, and this image is 230 wide. Possibly wrong, just a thought.

Also I'm missing how the symbol itself is different. The writing, yes, but what am I not seeing?

Is it just me or does the phrase "London time district" not sit right? If it's GMT (or BST) then why not say "Time Zone" or even "GMT"?

Thought if "the london time district" refers to Greenwich then there is a greenwich library in the USA, they have many copies of "Charlotte's web" anyone near enough to check?

I think this is tongue in cheek, from previous experience they surely can't expect discretion from the Sentinel...which seems to make it plain that the leak was deliberate in order to inform us of the time of the communication. If they were going to e-mail again, what would be the point in telling us when? I think we're going to have to be watching something specific at that time.

I think that it'll probably be radio, as it has the capability to be heard in more than one country...

Which company is this? Has this already been speculated on, or am I onto something?

Has that been known before? For information to be provided over radio or TV?

The Earth based company is that run by Michael Smith with Adrian Hon, who are the in game OOG PMs..try skimming through the What's the Hook thread. Referred at times as MC as in "MC Expedite global release" on the post card. Sente's hands on this side of the curtain.

Edit...when I said watching, meant generally, not just the telly!

Very true, although it'd take much less effort to do something online and reach far more people. That's definitely something to pay attention to though, as would be television. Both would go with the "without taking a step" from the futures, as would the internet.

Is there anything else that would be easily available to the masses without leaving home (or wherever one may be) and be time sensitive?

Of course it could be a specific physical location too, but that'd be quite disappointing for all those not able to be there. I'd think with the obvious unrest happening Sente would want as many as possible included on this.

i'm now inclined to think this will be a webcast. that will surely be the easiest way to communicate with the whole planet.

the 'London time district' is probably just a fancy way of saying 'the time in London', ie. 3pm BST; i don't think it actually means meeting at any location in London at that time.

[EDIT: Er, yeh, what dead weight said Wink]

I reckon the London Time District is definitely Greenwich, London- probably at the Greenwich meridian, which is a line marked on the ground from which all time is measured (just outside the Greenwich Observatory) . I think that's the best place for people to be at 3pm on Friday- I'll try myself, but I'm on girlfriend duty that day so it may be tricky!

It's in the middle of a park, so plenty of people could get there for a mass gathering- checked the events calendar and this is all I could find:

Quote:

Royal Observatory volunteer guided tour - April

1 Apr 2005 to 30 Apr 2005 On the following days: 4, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 21, 22 at 14.30
A volunteer guide highlights the fascinating history of the Royal Observatory, along with many of the exhibits and attractions.

Meridian - April

4 Apr 2005 to 29 Apr 2005 On the following days: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29 at 12.00, 13.05, 14.00, 15.00
Hear the history of the site as you stand near the Greenwich Meridian.

The tour and the history lecture (i presume this is what it is- though it sounds like it could be one of those things where you get headphones) could be promising.
But when I had a look in my A-Z street map, I couldn't help noticing that north of the park, just across the Thames, is a place called Cubitt Town. Coincidence?

Well if it's on TV, my bet is on the Snooker Championships that are being shown on BBC2 at 3 (starting earlier, ending much later). It would be good fun to see someone running across in front of the camera, streakeresque, with a message on a huge sign for us. Very Happy

You're right, the symbol hasn't changed. I was just looking at it wrong. I've edited my previous post. Thanks! Very Happy

There's also Murder she wrote on BBC1

Perhaps the tapping on the keyboard in the titles will tell us something in morse.

Personally, if my wife finds me glued to the telly trying to make out something written on a streaker's arse I think she might call an ambulance. Smile
