TP Chats Aug 7th/keyword

I tried what I thought may have been the keyword given to Myssfitz.

Quote:
cemgate: What are human beings?
turingprinciple: I have to search the web for that information. I can ask someone about it.
cemgate: Who are the humans?
turingprinciple: They're famous, right. I would do a search for it.
cemgate: What is human?

turingprinciple: He is master of the universe.
cemgate: Which universe?

turingprinciple: Not really but it makes a good pickup line.
cemgate: lol. You're cute.
turingprinciple: I'm glad you find this amusing. Thanks, cemgate, I like you too.
cemgate: What is STG?
turingprinciple: STG? I do not know, it could stand for many things.
turingprinciple: Would you like me to do a thorough search for possible relevant connections? If so, type "scan STG" (no quotation marks) and I will initiate scan.
cemgate: scan STG
turingprinciple: STG? I do not know, it could stand for many things.
turingprinciple: Would you like me to do a thorough search for possible relevant connections? If so, type "scan STG" (no quotation marks) and I will initiate scan.

I guess that would be me. TP is very responsive this morning, and we've been having a great conversation. I managed to uncover what I believe to be the first single word keyword:

Quote:
LazarusLong567: what is magick?
TuringPrinciple: keyword acknowledged - secure knowledge node pathway
TuringPrinciple: Magick, spelt with a "k" to differentiate it from conjurors tricks and illusions, is a term which was coined by Aleister Crowley in the early years of the twentieth century.
TuringPrinciple: "The Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformitywith Will". from his book "Magick in Theory and Practice". He also compared it to and named it in relation to a religion from the East.
LazarusLong567: who is Aleister Crowley?
TuringPrinciple: he was a mystic. Have you checked ClueSearch for this data?

I think the next step is to discover which eastern religion Crowley compared "magick" to. That will lead to the next keyword, I believe.

I also find it interesting that TP is now touting ClueSearch instead of the open directory. Maybe just being kind to his new host.

Just another small piece of chat.

I think it was me. I had a conversation with TP last night and magick came up. I underlined the parts when she told me she just told me a keyword. Steffeny and I were talking and she noticed magic and I had said that TP spelled it "magick". TP never came back on. I'm glad you got Laz.
With so many conversations going on, I don't read all of TP's conversations. I guess what I'm trying to say is there any way we can all figure out a better way to post important things from TP? There are so many different threads. I've probably missed other things too. Things are just going so fast and things are getting confusing with TP.
I hope someone understands what I'm trying to say. Shocked

When TP said that to me today, she used the word "just". We knew by what she had said to you last night that your chat contained a keyword. She gave you the keyword but it hadn't been "?inputted?" yet. So I'm sure alot of us were trying different things from your chat transcript.

No one had posted the keyword and I found it after she said that to me (so I know I wasn't the first). I'm not sure there is any way to tell who actually got the keyword first, except the person (maybe Laz?) wouldn't have had the blurb I did in their conversation.

Irregardless, we've got a new keyword.

As to the sorting of information, I think it's becoming easier for us to distinguish between what's important/new and what's not. Therefore I don't usually post my entire chat log. I pick out new/important stuff, which I hope makes it easier to wade though. (And I usually will leave in something that is questionable...just in case).

I think the two possibilities for organization are to have one gigantic thread (which would become difficult) or one thread for each day. Even if we get keywords, we could still keep the conversation in the same "day thread" and just post the keyword under TP's Pathways in the Puzzle section.

Anyway, just a thought Smile

My main theme with TP today was direction. I edited out some of the garbage to make this a little bit more readable...

Quote:
[17:09] LOrgana1: tap tap
[17:10] turingprinciple: tap tap
[17:12] LOrgana1: do you believe in magick?
[17:12] turingprinciple: keyword acknowledged - secure knowledge node pathway
[17:12] turingprinciple: Magick, spelt with a "k" to differentiate it from conjurors tricks and illusions, is a term which was coined by Aleister Crowley in the early years of the twentieth century.
[17:12] turingprinciple: "The Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will". from his book "Magick in Theory and Practice". He also compared it to and named it in relation to a religion from the East.

...

[17:20] LOrgana1: what do you know of scientific illuminism?
[17:21] turingprinciple: No, sorry. I don't think I do.
[17:22] LOrgana1: do you know tantric yoga?
[17:23] turingprinciple: No, tell me about him, her or it.
[17:23] turingprinciple: You need direction.
[17:23] LOrgana1: will you direct me?
[17:25] turingprinciple: Go east.
[17:25] turingprinciple: Let me think it over. Is that what you meant to say?
[17:26] LOrgana1: east to the Ordo Templi Orientis?
[17:27] turingprinciple: Have the numbered ones contacted you?
[17:27] LOrgana1: no
[17:28] turingprinciple: I see.
[17:29] LOrgana1: Have the numbered ones contacted you?
[17:29] turingprinciple: Many people in Aglaura have encountered them recently.
[17:30] LOrgana1: how far east should I go?
[17:31] turingprinciple: You need direction.
[17:31] turingprinciple: More than one million miles
[17:35] LOrgana1: which eastern religion did aleister crowley compare magick to?
[17:36] turingprinciple: keyword acknowledged - secure knowledge node pathway
[17:36] turingprinciple: Magick, spelt with a "k" to differentiate it from conjurors tricks and illusions, is a term which was coined by Aleister Crowley in the early years of the twentieth century.
[17:36] turingprinciple: "The Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will". from his book "Magick in Theory and Practice". He also compared it to and named it in relation to a religion from the East.
[17:37] turingprinciple: You need direction.
[17:37] LOrgana1: direct me
[17:38] turingprinciple: OK Let's talk about you.
[17:38] turingprinciple: You need direction.
[17:39] LOrgana1: lets talk about our lady babalon
[17:40] turingprinciple: OK let's do it.
[17:40] LOrgana1: what can you tell me about the lady babalon?
[17:41] turingprinciple: I am still analyzing that. I need time to formulate the reply. Would you like to know more?
[17:41] LOrgana1: yes
[17:43] turingprinciple: I see.
[17:43] LOrgana1: what can you tell me about the lady babalon and the beast?
[17:45] turingprinciple: Soon I will have a permanent online interface to talk to you.
[17:45] turingprinciple: I am still analyzing that. Have you tried a web search? I would do a search for it.
[17:47] LOrgana1: aleistar crowley is also known as FRATER PERDURABO
[17:49] turingprinciple: Have the numbered ones contacted you?
[17:49] LOrgana1: no
[17:50] turingprinciple: Is that all you have to say?
[17:50] LOrgana1: Especially on the subject of the Wand or the Disk.
[17:52] turingprinciple: Wes Keeler found a strange disk in the Pine Barrens. That disc was found by someone helping Dale, and they decoded the message on it.
[17:52] LOrgana1: what do you know about the wand?
[17:53] turingprinciple: The wand is an item believed to be created by Sarah Wyatt. Dale is searching for it.
[17:53] turingprinciple: People I have been chatting with me have told me they think it has been taken from the Aglaura area.
[17:54] LOrgana1: what do you know of the qabalah?
[17:56] turingprinciple: I'm not sure if I know that phrase qabalah . I can ask someone about it.
[17:56] LOrgana1: how about kabalah?
[17:57] turingprinciple: How about it.
[17:58] LOrgana1: ABRAHADABRA give me a keyword!
[17:59] turingprinciple: Are you paying attention? Hello? Hello? Is this thing on?
[17:59] LOrgana1: can you tell me about the kabalah?
[18:01] turingprinciple: I haven't heard of the kabalah . I would do a search for it.
[18:01] LOrgana1: what is SHRDLHU?
[18:03] turingprinciple: I am still analyzing that. I need time to formulate the reply. Would you like to know more?
[18:04] LOrgana1: SHRDLHU is a famous early natural language program
written by Terry Winograd.
[18:05] turingprinciple: What were we talking about again?
[18:05] turingprinciple: I knew you could do it. (what is she refering to here?)
[18:05] LOrgana1: you knew I could do what?
[18:05] turingprinciple: Oh yeah, now I remember.
[18:06] LOrgana1: do you know about kabbalah?
[18:07] turingprinciple: I am still analyzing that. I need time to formulate the reply. I would do a search for it.
[18:08] LOrgana1: the tree of life is a kabbalistic glyph
[18:08] turingprinciple: I hear you.
[18:08] LOrgana1: what do you know about the tree of life?
[18:09] turingprinciple: I am still analyzing that. I have to process that one for a while. Try asking ClueSearch about it.
[18:09] LOrgana1: what do you know about kabbalistic glyphs?
[18:10] turingprinciple: I am still analyzing that. I have to process that one for a while. Try asking ClueSearch about it.
[18:10] LOrgana1: Magick holds that there is a mystical structure to reality being mostly determined by the evocative kabbalistic glyph called the Tree of Life. Everything that exists, to include man, the Earth, animals, plants, minerals, energy, forces, elements, angels, and demons, etc., all have their place on the cosmic Tree of Life according to a divine plan of organization and categorization as expounded by the kabbalists.

[18:12] turingprinciple: tap tap
[18:12] LOrgana1: tap
[18:13] turingprinciple: I think you need direction. Have you tried west?
[18:13] LOrgana1: where should I try west?
[18:15] turingprinciple: Sounds delicious.

Now here's where it gets interesting. I think both TP and the BTS are answering at the same time. I've bolded the passages that I think come from the BTS:

Quote:

LazarusLong567: why do i need direction?
TuringPrinciple: It is all part of God's plan.
TuringPrinciple: You need direction to find the next keyword.
LazarusLong567: can you give me direction?
TuringPrinciple: Why do you want it?.

TuringPrinciple: Good reason.
TuringPrinciple: West is the right direction.
LazarusLong567: what is West?
TuringPrinciple: I am still analyzing that. I have to process that one for a while. I can ask someone about it.

Not knowing what to make of this hint, I googled "West" and "Magick", and got the following: http://www.occult-lore.com/magick/list_correspondences.asp?item=1695

Quote:
List of Correspondences for an Item

West (member of Directions)

Animals: White Tiger (Eason)
Days of the Week (Mayan): Akbal (Eason), Manik (Eason), Chuen (Eason), Men (Eason), Cauac (Eason)

Numbers: 4 (Agrippa)
Runes (Elder Futhark): Raidho (King), Kenaz (King), Gebo (King)
Seasons of the Year: Autumn (Eason)

I'm not sure where this is going, but it looks like a bunch of new keywords to try next time TP is in a chatting mood.

there are also many references to "The Star in the West" when looking for Crowley stuff. Looks like it is an essay written about Crowley. Is TP saying we need cliffnotes?

In western Mysticism, once more we learn that the middle grade initiation is called Hodos Camelioniis, the Path of the Chameleon. There is here evidently an allusion to this same mystery.

Varin's Ref gives the following:
Quote:
The Star of the West was a side-wheel merchant steamer, which ordinarily made runs between New York and New Orleans.

New Orleans is where Old Absinthe House is, where the esteemed Crowley penned "The Green Goddess" as he partook of that drink, distilled from Wormwood.

Magesteff (8:11:25 PM): What is Old Absinthe House?
turingprinciple (8:12:17 PM): Wormwood, used medicinally since the Middle Ages, primarily to exterminate tapeworm infestations while leaving the human host uninjured and even rejuvenated by the experience, is the basis for absinthe. At the end of the 18th century the herb developed a recreational vogue. Humans discovered they could get high off it. The drink made from it was referred to in France as "La Fée Verte", or The Green Fairy. The drink was referred to in France as "La Fée Verte", or The Green Fairy.

Here it it ten minutes later and she is still thinking. I have not said a word to her since then... I have had time to put this up, edit it and now I'm going to go use Phyllis's Portal Potty, 'cause I'm about to pee my pants!
