[UPDATE] April 20th

Ian and CG talk. Ian (and we) might get some help with Earthcross and locating the next car.

transcript

http://iannet.lastresortretrieval.com/ian/001249.html partial transcript:
Quote:
CG: She is listening to him?
Ian: Yah, Virgil Tatum, the voice of reason. [sarcastic:] Ain't that a joke!
CG: Is he that bad?
Ian: You have no idea. He's a loon.
CG: And, uhh, Nisha is blind to this?
Ian: [exasperated:]I guess. Or maybe she thinks I'm a bigger freak.
CG: You just, uhh, try to talk to her. Tell her what you are feeling.
Ian: pshhh.. [somber:] I do. I try. She isn't listening. Besides we've got bigger problems.
CG: Like, uhhh, the next car?
Ian: [emphatic:]Yeah, earthcross is being a pain and a half.
CG: [helpful/patronly:]Let me have a look. Perhaps there is something in there you, uhh, missed.
Ian: Yah. Knock yourself out.
CG: Why would I want to do that?
Ian: [laughter] It's just ... It's just an expression. I hope you can help.
CG: [serious:]I'll try, my friend.

[UPDATE]: nhansard corrected my poor hearing, from Virgil "paid him" to Virgil "Tatum." Useless spec deleted.

[UPDATE 2]: Diandra correctly deciphered the poor french accent in the first line.

What in the world are they talking about in the first two lines?
Virgil paid who? And what does Cybergosse say? Anyone adept at deciphering that french accent?

I think ian said "Virgil Tatum" not "paid him"

Ian's emails

Enaxor emails about helping out. Ian's reply told us to hang tight. CyberGosse finds something(z567877.zip) in the files that we didn't find! He adds another email 22 minutes later saying he couldn't crack it with a password cracking algorithm.

I opened up the zip, and I found 3 files:
deldoc.txt, z334286.zip[needs a password], z963312.zip[needs a password].

She is listening to he-im? (him with the bad french accent)
Yeah, Virgil Tatum...the voice of reason.

Nisha sends Ian a thank you note, mentions ads in two South California publications, and says this job's going to be more complicated this time and she estimates they'll need five retreivers:

[EDIT: email used to say Carolina, fixed to California.]

Coachella looks like it's going to be a pretty good party, but I doubt I'm going to get an invite (fie thee, accursed Atlantic millpond!!). However, I have just asked Nisha to pay for my flights, so we'll see if this turns into the blag of the century Very Happy

I would go if Nisha could pick me up and take me there and back in one day... but I don't see that happening...

OC weekly is a free pub..I am gonna run downstairs and pick one up...

LA Weekly is about 1.95 but you can most of the time get them for free..

I will be out at Coachella for both days of the concert....
