New Virtuquest ARG - Corporate 5.0 I didn't see this posted anywhere else but Virtuquest has already begun another ARG it is called Corporate ARG 5.0... doesn't say that it isn't open to corporations alone... so...
go to here to find the first clue... most of the beginning page is in French.... roughly translated it says
--Swiss Bank--
The access,betray,resolve, and wins
then if you hold your mouse over the barcode long enough it says (in French) Begin here!
Ahhh... the start of a new virtuquest ARG!
Edit: Does any body have a barcode scanner?

Because I'm a boring freak, I got the barcode down to it being a 128B type code. I'm working on the exact numbers, which might take me a while, but at least we know the type, because the ending and beginning bars of a string of 128B always match the code on the site.
EDIT: The string is a 10 digit string. Got the barcodes to match in length and matching guard rails now...
Ok, this is driving me crazy... it's alphanumeric too, and you can have spaces and symbols and all sorts of great crazy stuff. And lower and upper case are different depending on everything... just oh god....
Here's what I found so far. The code is in sections of 3 bars... The first 3 bars and the last 4 bars are the opening and closing of the tag, all barcodes have them so you can discount them. As you can see, I found the numbers 7, 2, and 4 inside of the code... Once I determine what case of letters they are using, I'll start into letters... and then finally spaces and symbols...
2ND EDIT for the night: It's all lower case lettering. Yay! The first two in the string are lower case letters, the third looks like a symbol that I didn't use in my alphanumeric string, unless it's uppercase...
3RD AND LAST: The barcode as I am retiring for the evening:

In fact, it is... if you put in sw856342187 and add ".htm" at the end, you get a new page (toujours en francais!!)
listing these blog websites, and I haven't quite translated all the rest yet...

Account Sir Walton Hamil
Il paraît que tous comptes ont été placés sur le statut de protection en raison de l'attaque récente d'infiltration nette. Notre investigation a tourné en haut un avance quant à une source possible pour ces occurances.

from my basic french skills (oui!) I get this idea of what's going on:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There's been an "attack" or "infiltration", and there's been an investigation into this instance, and specifically, into the person named Walter Hamil. The memo informs us to look for information on him at these websites.
Is that right?

BlogsNow The only one that I could find was for Blogsnow.com. It appears to be a company site called "Method". Here... take a look. http://walterhamil.blogsnow.com . Oh, and by the way, there is a reason why this is not in a spoiler.... looking through the site, it appears to be OOG. But, I could be wrong. If I am, I will edit this with a spoiler.

I'm wondering if that's supposed to be a "possible" list of sites, and only one of them is correct; the one that you found. I was sure that I would find the myspace page, but it just doesn't exist.
Does anyone know where this is supposed to take place? Is it in France?
[edit] Oh yeah. The bank. Nevermind.

Corporate Virtuquest games are usually done for a specific company (a team building exercise) and that the players (employees of the company) are given some additional info, data or access to corporate computer networks, that are not available to the general public.
Be careful where you go - you are more likely to find more OOG stuff if you don't have all the facts.

Nah, trust me. This is what we were supposed to find.
The question is what to do next? Obviously we need to get into his workstation somehow. Any ideas?

Man, this is upsetting that nobody's giving this much attention. I'm getting pretty into it. But anyways, he updated with a code we gotta figure out.
