SPEC: STG We've been pointed towards the STG teens at least twice with the gentle "I wonder
what STG means" in someone's email.
I figure that we should should have enough clues at this point to meet that challenge,
exactly as we successfully met the greywethers login (joke).
What are our possibilities, figuring that at least one of the letters stands for
something in the game that's unique to the game. (That could be a wrong assumption,
but I think it's a good starting point)
Also, my answer to "STG" would be colored by the idea that the PMs have had no
problem making cute references to real world "us" along the way: Chasing the Fish,
Collective Protective, and others.
So, I'd suspect that STG will end up making a cute oblique reference to a group
of gamers who have appeared in Aglaura. They traveled there with their GPS and hand-made
shirts to create a little impromptu group.
That narrows our choices for words in the title a bit.

How about it is meant (for us) to mean: Stupid to Gullible? Or Sam Trimetheius Green(e)?

I've mentioned STG to TP before but not got anything back apart from Output is forthcoming. The only other idea I had was it could be Shadow Talk something.

I'm posting this here as I still don't know what to make of it...looks like it might be in-game.
The flash + STG + treasure got me thinking.

Other kinds of searches include searching for locations on maps, identifying places through longitude and latitude and many other hard but fun challenges. Each of the online sections give you clues and pieces of the final treasure map which, if you are smart enough, will tell you where that game's real prize is hidden. And then the race is on, to see who will be that game's winner.

Says the sponsors are Mapquest and Google, but when you click Mpaquest it takes you to AltaVista

A minute ago you could enter the flash version...now you can't.
(Which was entirely different)
YUP!!! We found our STGs.....because I just posted about Mapquest directing to AltaVista....it's fixed and now directs to Mapquest:)
(Must be reading the boards)

In or out of game? Certainly the work of our PM's. Its registered to:

Odd spelling on last name, and a 555 phone number.
Leads us to: http://www.interactiveworlds.org/
which isn't quite finished, but the source code has "synthasia" in it!

Domainsurfer is my best friend:) Hours of digging

EDIT*** I wrote to them basically saying I think a group of their Beta testers happened upon something that wasn't part of the treasure hunt.
I started off looking for sites beginning with searching/seeking...got nowhere, so tried working backwards as I thought the last word might be gamers/gaming/game....

So people inhabiting an ingame site (since it says synthasia) are reading these boards?
Of course, that would be in-game treading into out-of-game territory, unless you mean that they're not participating in these forums, but simply recognized that you'd pointed out a web design flaw.
/me begins reeling

Nah...I don't know how it fits in (sorta gives ya vertigo if you think too deeply). What I meant was , within a minute or so after pointing out on these boards that the Mapquest link was directing to AltaVista...it was fixed.
To me that was an absolute sign it was something run by our PMs. Verification.
The site is registered to someone who's other site has a synthasia ref. in the source code....too mind-boggling to me at the moment.

We were promised that there would not be any "in-game" information posted on the boards that we the players did not put here. Nothing was ever said about the PM's not scanning the boards to see how well or not we are doing on the puzzles and other info.
