But if they live above ottakars...
Maybe someone playing the game has to go there and find it...

I think that's a big assumption and a lot to expect for a game this size. I really don't think it would be clever to go breaking and entering anywhere.

Obviously not, but I think it would be a good idea for someone who lives near there to go and take a look.

There might be a black van outside.. or visitors. I mean, we know what David looks like... If we see people other than him going in then we should shoot them
hehe I'm kidding. I'm not sure where the game is here really. Seems very illegal to me

Well, i'm going down next weekend. I can't go down duriing the week.
Does any think ottakars have created this or just someone who knows where it is? I'm wondering if this is an offical game or just a random thing created by an odd puppet master.

I wouldn't count on this being corporate. Only go down there if you REALLY want to, as we honestly don't know if that's what we've got to do.

Despite my attempts to reduce my status in the game, David is still contacting me. I've replied asking for any information about this object.

Crowfoot,
I am trapped in a cellar/basement somewhere in portsmouth. I found this old laptop behind a pile of old furniture. I don't think keith is planning on letting me out. Reply quickly as keith may discover what I'm doing,
David

Quote:
Crowfoot,
It is in the bookshop. And its a document with all the information we have collected so far.
David.

This is exciting! I sent e-mails to both of them from different addresses. Here are what I said and how he responded. (And don't laugh at how I asked the questions... I'm new to ARGs!)
Quote:
Subj: Who kidnapped David?
I just read the post from his brother. It's all very suspicious to
me. What significance does Wednesday have? Please respond as soon as
possible; I'll do whatever I can to stop this guy.
And his reply...
Quote:
I too have read that thread. He cals me a liar and tells you all to trust me. Just because everyone found david first that instantly makes me the bad guy.
I kidnapped david and he is currently locked in my basement. He will stay there till he starves.
Interesting, no? And here's what happened with Dave's brother. This one turns up a lot of new leads.
Quote:
Subj: Where have you looked?
I know it seems overly obvious, but I would guess to look at the hidden bookshelf. I'm sure you've checked there already. Could you tell me where you know it can't be, so I can start thinking about where it's actually hidden?
Also could you please give me a clue as to what "it" is? I'm thinking it's a time bomb of some sort. That would be terrible to go off in your own home, and I would like to help prevent that, so please get back to me!
Are you ready for what he said? Are you?
Quote:
Brett,
I have looked in the beds, the sofas and chairs. I have completely searched through the mess in the study, if it was in there it would have been found. I have also looked in the kitchen and the bathroom and under the bar. The problem with the hidden bookshelf is its actually a bookshop. I think david could have hidden it somewhere in the shop but its pretty big.
About what I'm looking for, its not a bomb. If its not found by wednesday project emotion will fail. It can fit in a folder and is very important. It might be in a book but there's over 500 in the shop. Has david mentioned any books to you lot?
Richard.
So it's a piece of paper that could be hidden in a book. Well, I did my job. Now you smart people actually figure it out!

Got another reply from David, but I deleted it by accident when cleaning my inbox out It said Keith isn't feeding him and the police have dismissed his claims as a joke.
