Dearest Sunny,

I never had any intention of leaving. It was the boys, James and Chris, who were intent on getting out and dragging me off with them. You should have seen the panic on Phyllis's face when they announced we were all leaving! It took me at least an hour to convince her that the two dolts had come up with that plan on their own.

I will admit that the idea of a vacation would sit quite nicely with me at
this moment. I am, I fear, quite exhausted. I wonder if my shields are up to snuff or if something has happened to them. I find that I grow more and more tired as the days go on and my mental capabilities are sometimes strained, despite my best efforts. I think I shall spend tomorrow sleeping and meditating in an effort to find the cause of my distress. Gosh, won't I feel the idiot if I discover I have something mundane like the flu?

As far as how could I leave... the answer is in your very own letter. I could not. This is, truly, the case of a lifetime and I am here until the very last metaphysical die is cast. I only hope that whatever may happen, goodness and light prevail.

We were kicking things around tonight, Ursulla, Blush, Valas and myself, and I think it was Blush that said Turingprinciple had said something to her about Iris, which lead me to say, and Iris is an opening TP has been talking about myth being the opening through which the mysterious enters our lives) and for Ursulla to speculate that perhaps...well, Iris is a plant after all, just like Digitalis, and Absinthe (made from Wormwood).
Iris is also a structure in the Eye that surrounds the pupil, the opening in the eye where light enters.

I think I'll lever you with that thought for a while...

And TP has also been asking "Are you a student?" Another word for student is....
