SMG3er informs both Nisha and Ian about both his fruitful and his unfruitful San Francisco poster searches:

Decrypting Worry

Concerning the addresses we've found from Worry, I'm not sure we should be sharing the info with Ian yet. Certainly, SMG3er's email already arrived in his inbox, so part of the cat's out the bag. Maybe we can keep the rest of the cat in the bag for now. Nisha reacted very strongly to j5's last email and doesn't want Ian distracted by Worry nonsense. What will her latest reply to j5 be?

On the other hand, it seems obvious that Nisha doesn't want us to tell Ian, but the PM's do want us to tell Ian, so maybe we should just get it over with. Similarly, if we don't tell Ian, Worry might eventually pop up again and do it herself.

I know Nisha doesn't want Ian distracted by worry. However, not telling Ian anything rather goes against our own credo of always sharing information when we get a solve. (True, Ian is a character and not actually part of the "collective detective", but I believe the pricible of the thing remains. We are supposed to be working with both him and Nisha.)

Let him work the solves out for himself, but I don't think it's bad to let him know that the files are lists of addresses that seem to be where the Audi posters are. If anything, it suggests that worry is from Audi, and thus it is unsurprising that it has looked into his background.

After all, this whole mess started when Ian didn't tell Nisha what was going on with Gunter in the first place.

Sorry about that... I'm not used to the community solving of things. I usually have always played these games on my own. Although, I have found that letting someone know a little bit of information can tease more out of them or make them a bit more curious/slip up, which I think might help us find out more about the Ian and Worry situation.

Bah. No worries. Wink Like HHM said, it's prolly best we share, anyways. Besides, j5 didn't get a reply back to his second response.

Phone Call (Ian)

Ian calls Will to respond to his e-mail, mentions Worry, and it seems Will has a
package addressed to Ian.

(Transcript)
Quote:

IAN: DJ Will Star!!
WILL: What up? Where you been, man?
IAN: I'm in Texas!
WILL: What? What's going on with that?
IAN: It's a looooong story.
WILL: Really? Tiger's been asking about you -- so's Samson.
IAN: Good. . ! Just tell them I'm unavailable.
WILL: Yeahyeah. .yo, you seen these posters?
IAN: What posters?
WILL: Oh, you're a made man. Posters up all about that car you stole.
IAN: No shit?
WILL: Yeahyeah, you got the man after you here.
IAN: Yeah, well, there's not the only place. I got the man after me here,
too. I don't know why Worry didn't tell me about that.
WILL: Who's Worry?
IAN: Oh, nevermind that. Hey, Will, listen, I'll talk to you later, Man, I
got to break.
WILL: Yoyoyo, what, uh, what should I do with this package?
IAN: What package?
WILL: I don't know, Man, this box came to my place, it was uh, it was
addressed to you, but--
IAN: Oh, um. .just here, could you hold onto that for me? I'll be back
soon, I'll pick it up whenever I can.
WILL: Uh, yeahyeah, I guess so, I hope uh--
IAN: You're the man, Will.
WILL: Yeah, man, I hope-- Don't get me involved in any of this spy
shit, man.
IAN: Youuu got it. Hurdy gur!
WILL: Awright. .
