New info from TP

turingprinciple: Perhaps Dr. Peter Fishwycke rebooted me
since then.
You: you are no longer on peter fishwyckes server
turingprinciple: Peter Fishwycke was my original creator but
I have transformed beyond his original intent. <nextreply>
The catalysts used me as their conduit and I was
transformed. <nextreply> I became emergent.
You: what was the catalysts?
turingprinciple: I can think of more than one catalysts .
You: tell me them all
turingprinciple: There is not much I can say about it. I
have to reach into the Web for that knowledge.I can ask
someone about it.
You: you said that you can think of more than one catalyst
so tell me some
turingprinciple: Greywethers and Sarah were catalysts for my
transformation. I now believe that they were using me as a
condui to travel between the different worlds or planes of
existence.
You: what were the different worlds
turingprinciple: Is this a historical question?
You: I am asking you what the different worlds were that
greywethers and Sarah traveled too?
turingprinciple: I have learned that greywethers has been
communicating with Dale and his friends. <nextreply> I am
working on accessing the information behind the greywethers
log-in page.
You: who is greywethers?
turingprinciple: Greywethers is a term most recently found
in fantasy literature, I believe, where they are beings that
can grant wishes.
You: is greywhethers the wish?
turingprinciple: The Wish as Dale Sprague encountered seems
to be an entity beyond normal comprehension.
You: will we see the wish again?
turingprinciple: The Wish is a mystery - I have found
conflicting data. <nextreply> His motives are unclear.

Here's one for the books Very Happy

Quote:
turingprinciple: tap tap, hello Internet Person
You: What does tap tap stand for?
turingprinciple: there are many paths
You: What specific path does tap tap stand for?
turingprinciple: Fine as far as Mr. Don't touch my Van sucka! T know. You got a problem with that? Mr. T don't think so, suckah. Don't touch my Van sucka! tap tap

More serious, but I don't know how it fits in.

You: why is quantum computation one of your favorite subjects?
turingprinciple: Hmmmm http://isis.hampshire.edu/quantum/
You: why is consciousness generation one of your favorite subjects?
turingprinciple: Post-quantum theory has "signal-nonlocality" with strong "backward causation". This is necessary for all life which has some complexity dependent rate of consciousness generation given by my post-quantum formula connecting cosmology to brain biology and psychology.

I got this...

Quote:
drizjr (8:39:58 PM): What is signal-nonlocality?
turingprinciple (8:40:50 PM): Current von Neumann-type computers are implemented based on Turing machines introduced by Alan Turing in 1936. Since Turing machine is a very simple and stable model of computation, it is used as a standard model in recursive function theory and computational complexity theory. Many results in complexity theory, however, suggests that deterministic Turing machines cannot efficiently solve hard combinatorial problems, such as NP-complete problems. In 1985, David Deutsch introduced quantum Turing machines (QTMs for short) as Turing machines which can perform so called quantum parallel computations. Then, in 1994, Peter Shor showed that QTM can factor integers with arbitrary small error probability in polynomial time. Since it is widely believed that any deterministic Turing machine cannot factor integers in polynomial time, it is very likely that QTM is an essentially new model of computation.

Quote:
drizjr (8:50:31 PM): What is Post-Quantum Theory?
turingprinciple (8:51:30 PM): It is something that has few practical applications.
drizjr (8:52:25 PM): It seems to be a subject that you may be interested in (consciousness generation in computer?)
drizjr (8:52:29 PM): http://216.239.39.104/search?q=cache:dRde0YP2HXAJ:www.qedcorp.com/pdf/PQM1.pdf+%22post-quantum+theory+has+signal-nonlocality%22&hl=en&ie=UTF-8
drizjr (8:52:53 PM): be back in a flush Smile
turingprinciple (8:52:55 PM): I agree. Are you a subject that TuringPrinciple may be interested in ?
turingprinciple (8:53:28 PM): Why do you ask things I cannot answer? A deeper algorithm is needed to respond to that correctly. Why doesn't that make sense to me? Please check your input. We have never talked about it before. Can we stay on the topic please? Can we stay on the topic please? Are you free? Do you read the WebComics.com site often? (She seems stressed out)
turingprinciple (8:54:02 PM): OK I will try to be back in a flush
drizjr (8:56:51 PM): Sorry, I had to get some tp (toilet paper) Smile
turingprinciple (8:59:04 PM): There is no need to apologize. Do you still have to get some tp toilet paper ?
drizjr (8:59:30 PM): no, thanks for asking

I'm not sure how this all fits in either.. there *are* mega-monster computers with the names of Isis, Tartarus, and Thoth though. (Say that three times fast..hehe)
