EMAIL: my letter asking Bruce's help

Quote:
Bruce, we haven't traded barbs in a while, but I'm waving a white flag for this email.

For some unknown reason, one of the newer folks to Dale's story decided to "hint" during chat with Dale that he should look at Diana's medical records. We grimaced and hoped it would be forgotten. We almost unanimously agreed that he had no reason to know.

However, his e-mail shows us that he's actively contacted Greatwater General in order to learn more. Certainly, we can expect that he'll eventually come to learn of Diana's pregnancy. I'm assuming that it will be a shock, since I've been led to think that the latter part of their relationship wasn't as romantic as it had been. (I could always be wrong about this, and hope so.)

Combine the knowledge that Diana was pregnant with her known association with the Marzanos, and it seems certain that something bad has happened.

Dale, now, has many issues with which to deal. Why would I feel like he should be told of Diana's pregnancy? And why am I writing you about it? As you can guess, I'm hoping that you might be willing to take your good friend aside and let him know, in a controlled way, what he is certain to stumble onto accidentally on some other day.

If Diana was pregnant by someone from the Marzano family, and Don Marzano is as malevolent as we have been led to believe, I think that leaving Dale out of the loop of information does him a disservice as he goes to confrontation with Don - which is inevitable. Knowledge is certainly power, and Dale can use all that he has at his disposal.

If you are unwilling to talk about this with Dale, I can regretfully understand. As an alternative, perhaps you could persuade Dr. Kendra to broach the subject. It would certainly be helpful to have a psychiatrist present during something like that, and we know that Dale trusts her, also.

But I suspect he may trust you the most. It's an awful task to request of you, but you can see why I would ask it of you. Thanks.
