On these forums, wallowing over the loss of ILB. It was my dream come true when I found out who was making this ARG!

A friend of mine showed me ilovebees (after it was done), and I loved the idea. Then he told me that a new one was starting soon, so I jumped on board. Half of our friends don't understand what it is, and the other half make fun of us for playing Args . But they can't talk, they play Everquest

Through the old collective detective site and a thread on virtucube.
no.... not virtucube!
my story.
last year sometime... idk july i was randomly on the nintendo forums, and this guy started a thread about ilb.com not knowing waht it was. being the helpful guy i am, i looked into it and read pages of things... explained it.. and got led to argn. (no one else on nintendo really cared about the idea as far as i know) . um, i came here, it was a little late into ilb, so i stayed out of it. i followed a link to projectsyzygy.com from argn or uf, one of the two. then i forgot about it for 3 months. then i heard about the axons from ilb via g4tv and came back to uf, found out about perplex city, and have been waiting for solely this game for the past 6 months.
so i have no clue what category that would fit in.

I used to be on the forums a couple of years ago playing Push Nevada (for the short while that was on TV/web).
Got an email from a friend when syzygy started, then browsed around, finally joined Perplex City when the game officially went 'live.'
guess that counts as word of mouth? though I already knew about unfiction/args...

I had a wierd intro. I was discussing books with someone and mentioned this other book called "The Cube." Later that night I saw an image online that reminded me of a dream that has to do with yet another cube.
Anyway, I made a blog entry about it all being kinda cool and coincidental and then I saw a story on some site about ARG and PerplexCity. Then I knew I had to get involved.
It all happened in like 24 hours. I'll have to choose "Accident" or "OOG Web Site" because you don't have "Divine Intervention" listed

For Accident you could read Act's of God; and for the others, Act's of Sente, Act's of Newspaper and Act's of Bog.
Sad to hear it's been removed Nik...will start carrying a marker pen when I need to spend a penny in homage

Accident I teach a class on communication and new technology and in researching online gaming for my lecture I came across an article on ARGs. It might have mentioned project syzygy or I might have googled Args. I rely on google whenever I find something new so I can't be sure. After seeing the video I was hooked. Lurked for awhile on the boards and then joined in. Now I'm waiting with baited breath for the badge of honor.

Right...we've had another influx and Yanka's kindly added an option for the culture show...so come on Newbies...let us know how you got involved. Firebox catalogue currently stands at 30 votes and will lump them all in with the new catalogue...all being effectively the same method.
Still not at 333...over half way though

I'm a Firebox Girlie, was just browsing through the catalogue at Christmas time and came across the ad. Kinda boring story actually. Oi! Wake up, you at the back, don't think I can't see you... you'll be staying in at lunchtime if you don't listen!

Saw this obscure review of the game in the back of The Independent on Sunday's companion Magazine, and decided to take things from there.
I'd been looking for something thought - provoking to come along on-line, since a certain shared world project I had been involved with had gone into hibernation for the foreseeable future...

Interesting. I'd have expected far more people to have come to this because of PC Gamer. I'd never seen any of the pre-game until that article. Pity

I was PCG but added my vote before it was added as an option...
If a is a cluster point of the domain of the real function f and lim
h->0
(f(a+h)-f(a))/h = m, for some real number m, then m is called the derivative of f at a, usually denoted by f'(a), and f is said to be differentiable at a.
I've got this shit spewing out of my ears at the moment ='(

Still beating the culture show at the moment though and that's the BBC
we're still ticking up steadily. Have experimented and things stop moving when I remove the advert in my signature...where's people's natural curiosity?
Jeb...don't worrry once it's on the exam page, that knowledge is spent, gone for ever, it will never be in your possession again. The purpose of study is simply to pack your head so full that the hole left when the contents all drain away can be used to store trivia, or cheese.
