Just a quick note to those receiving cards/packets.

Please don't start a thread with "Here's the solution to Card #???".
There are many more people not receiving these things than are, could we at least have a description of what the puzzle is before you give the solve?

I'm sorry if it felt like I was talking only about your post (there are others), and it may just be my anal need for organization. I understand that one can get the information elsewhere on the forums, my point was more of a "If you start a thread in the puzzle section, please start the thread with the puzzle". Very Happy

In the bottom right, the guest artist logo looks to me like an ambigram for the name 'ANNA' Not sure if that means anything..

if you put them alphabetically and dont go with the numbers beside the words... then

its adbca

(I've also noticed that the dictionary starts at Dark, yet Bluejacking is the 3rd word on the page..)

DJrazz: On the back of cards #027 and #041 there are explanations of how the point system works, prize details, etc. All others have parts of a map of Perplex City with road names and occasionally info about the place. Should be in the wiki by now.

My first post - hi.

Just thought worth mentioning that all these definitions are from www.wordspy.com (see also "Wordspy" at top of card).

This site has been around for several years- it used to provide daily updates with new words/phrases, but has been static for at least a year.

So I looked in the souce code of each word's wordspy page, and searched the site for "cube", "perplex" "perplexcity" "sente" "daabc" - and come up with nothing.

So... probably a dead end.

This is also likely to be irrelevant, but If you take the first letters of all the correct definitions you get the letters tsgaa, which can be rearranged to spell agast, which I *think* you can spell without an h.

You've probably noticed at the bottom of the card that is says "Thesaurus." I was wondering if this had anything to do with the solution. Looked for words of similar meaning on wordspy and came up with this list.

1. P2P
2. heteroflexible
3. whacking
4. wasbian
5. andropause

Have tried looking for anagrams and rots but can't find anything so it may be a dead end. Any other thoughts on why there's a thesaurus section at the bottom?

I am kind of thinking this is a trick question..

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It doesnt ask.. What are the answers to the following multiple choice or what does each word mean? It ask's.. Can you figure out what they mean? So the answer would be either yes or no.

If the answer to card #74 is an open book test that is multiple choice with answers that can be googled in a micron of a second.. these puzzles are going to be child's play.

Trebor,

Great minds etc....

This was kind of like Fastest Finger First on WWTBAM - am slightly aghast (nice word, quite expressive, not used often enough) that the puzzle was sooooooo easy - especially after all the Futures hair-rending! (from some weeks ago now....)
