Last night after everyone left, VectorB, myself, and two other players (I can't seem to remember whom) played some GREAT games of Oddball and Slayer on Turf and Sanctuary. There were only 4 of us and we had a blast.

I can see Turf being used for the 2 v 2 play lists. The map is just about right for that game type...So many corners and nooks and cranies around...most kills were from turning a corner and being scared out of your wits that someone was there. Very Happy

Sanctuary also worked well for a 2 on 2 game as well as Oddball and KOTH. I was kinda concerned that there being only 4 people that the maps might be too big but, I was pleasntly surprized.

What a great idea...

"Send Party Invite"
"Join Party"
"Request Party Invite"

Then again, I don't know how many folks play "Invite Only" like we do.

Well I have a new thing for any of you beekeepers out there that want to try and play competitivly on Halo 2. I'm thinking about setting up a team for the new ArmChair Athletes 2005 tournements. It's a four player team and I was thinking that if enough people are interested we could enter one from Evade and Beekeepers. Just Pm me or email me or post here, w/e if it sounds like fun to you. It's all done over xbox live and is pretty much free, mostly just there to help you win some pride. I think it has a few prizes at the end of the season, prolly just a few halo 2 related things.
Forums here if you want to check out all the detials yourself!

We did a match, 3 teams of 3, on wednesday, on turf. Turf is good for these, because practically every time you get into a firefight, someone comes up from behind to get involved when you're weak.

Much of the fighting on turf seems to happen in the back alleys.

Indeed we did. Those matches were rather close; I know I was hanging on the edge of my seat during those Turf matches. Tense, those.

Yes, much screaming ensued... Twisted Evil Turf would be a good 2v2 map, however I think Turf and Sanctuary are going to be relegated to the "Team Preview" maps only, at least until June 28th when they will be released for free. Of course, then the brand-new maps will be the ones people will be itching to play, they'll probably have a new Team Preview list, and they'll probably update the playlists all over again. If you think about it, they probably won't have all the playlists using all the new maps until August...

Hrm, the KOTH must've been after I left (being the EST tribe member I am...). It would be a good map for it though. Where's the hill in non-crazy king; in the bottom center area of Sanctuary? That would be fairly crazy with the sword hanging out there and all...

I have named the circular building in the middle of sanctuary the broken bell tower. Which got some protest from someone (i forget who) that there was no bell. To which I replied, Thats cus is broken.

So it is now required that when you run through the bell tower to get the sword you must yell "Sanctuary! Sanctuary!"

Hidee ho!

Just poking my face in for a quickie Smile It's been a while, and I kind of dropped off the face of the earth after I went on vacation back in December. Just haven't been playing too many games.

Hope you guys are doing well and maybe I'll see you in the neighborhood sometime.

THERE IS NO SANCTUARY.

Jenny Agutter - best legs ever. Maybe Halo 2.5 will add a robot with a freeze gun to Containment.

Uber, you young wipper snappers and your rock and or roll music.

Just wondering if anyone was going to be on this evening...might do some matchmaking tonight...new maps are fun and all but, I have to admit that the "newness" factor is waining on them for me...
