[SPEC] Card Sets Okey, after looking over all the stuff... basiclly we've got two known sets, Pixel and Hex, and we know that 4 cards exist in each set for each colour.
so 4 (cards) x 2 (sets) x 8 (colours) = 64.... far too short as we already have card number 219. So maybe theres more sets:
i spec theres 6 more sets, taking the total card count to 256, or maybe theres more taking it up to 333.
Also, what are they gonna be, more shapes? triangle, pentigon etc...?
[edit]
10 sets, so 4 x 10 x 8 = 320, and 13 ultra rare cards?

I like that possibility best. It appeals to my 13centric sensibilities. And it makes most sense mathematically (Kinda).

I don't think each colour has an equal number of cards in it. If you look at the card that shows the colours of the cards, they are shown on a scale of EASY --> DIFFICULT and also a scale of COMMON --> RARE.
I'm thinking that the most likely way that this could work is the most common colour having a certain number of shape sets in it, and the next one having one or more less shape sets and so on, with the rarest colour probably having only one set of four cards.

When it says 'common' it means that more of that one card is printed, not that there are more cards of this type. For example, in Pokémon cards, you used to get one rare in each pack (maybe) and sometimes it was a shiny. That sort of thing, not 'there are more common cards than rares'.

Ah, right, that makes sense. I never was a big fan of trading cards.

From what I can see, it seems like the cards are ranked by colour then by type (red Hex, Yellow Pixel, etc) and numbered accordingly with all the reds together, then the oranges and so on. From the numbers of the 11 cards we can see there can't be 10 types as then there would be 40 cards of each colour, which doesn't fit these numbers (the yellow in the pack was only no. 074) If, however there were 8 types and 8 colours then all the numbers we can see fit nicely into place:
001-032= red
033-064= orange
065-096= yellow
097-128= green
129-160= blue
161-192= violet
193-224= black
225-256= silver
This works with all the cards we've seen so far and implies 256 cards altogether (discounting possible one-offs like the suggested character cards, which we've seen no evidence of)

Thanks Nik_Doof for breaking it down! I want to buy your avatar another round of beer! [Edit: looks at avatar again - or coffee!]
I am in USA and haven't receeived anything yet - though I was online at the time and was hitting Refresh just like many of you - I haven't received a parcel so I cannot elaborate yet . . .
The buildings are obviously in the style of a popular simulation game we've all heard of, and I see what looks like a Leader Board, um, what are the chances that the puzzle cards are to initiate us as characters into a virtual Perplex City a la the Sims?
Am I the only one thinking this?

i know this is popular spec at the moment, but it could still be that there are more individual cards for the 'common' colors... we havent actually been told we'll have to buy hundreds of multiple packs to get that ONE rare card, and personally i'd rather believe any alternative
and also, i don't think we know theres 333 cards do we? r we just assuming they like the number?

One thing that people are not mentioning is how the cards (I haven't gottem any, so I'm assuming this is the case from the posts I've read) say "prototype" either on the packaging or on the card itself. This would lead me to believe that these are actually like a "pre-release" set, that will not be available when purchasing packs. Perhaps these cards to the 333 people ARE the rare cards. This would definitely increase the value of the thing, and would definitely give an advantage to the "puzzle" solver over the buy who gets in the game later, by simply purchasing packs. (Although it's apparent that purchasing packs is going to be necessary at some point...) Anyway, that's my take (spec)...

Good point, or maybe the prototype cards will be scrapped and a new one will replace it
