It also had this note attached. I haven't checked any of the papers, but I did try the link but I didn't go anywhere. I might have mistyped it though so I'm trying it again.

Amboy Territorial Days - 2nd Weekend in July
This year's celebration kicks off with a parade through town. Don't miss this year's loging show or the 5th Annual Lawn Mower Races. You can also find local vendor booths as well as rides on the fairway.
Harvest Days - 3rd Weekend in July
Enjoy another parade, food, fun and games in Battle Ground, WA. If you're feeling competitive sign up for the annual tennis tournament. Don't miss the second annual lawn mower races at this festival either!
Clark County Fair - Aug 6 - 16
Find all your down home competitions (pie making, quilting, sewing) as well as 4-H horse, dog, cat, cattle, sheep exhibitions. Don't forget to catch one of the shows at 7 p.m. in the amphitheater. There will be rides and games of all kinds in the fairway as well as vendors in the exhibition buildings. Don't forget to hit the Onionaire booth for a mouth watering onion burger and be sure to stop by the Clark County Dairy Wives booth for a creamy milk shake.
That looks interesting to me. Maybe these will be actuall events.
Edit: Are we sure this is the site we were supposed to find? This site http://www.lewisriver.com/index.html looks totally geunine. And its huge.

Umm.. I didn't play AWARE I... does that mean I should stop this one because I'm going to be completely lost?

They probably won't make having any knowledge about Aware I essential to playing Aware II, but it would be a more fufilling experience if you did know about the previous events. I wouldn't suggest dropping out, just take a look at the Aware I forums and catch yourself up.

You don't have to have played I to play II....I think THIS gives most of the backstory. I didn't play I out, so someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

News, huh? I also did not participate in AWARE I, but there is a link from the Amboy Monthly Letters to the Editor to http://ideltech.com/news.htm (the attachment did say it would lead to news). The source gives only:
110010100
Was that from Aware I, or is it new?

Got a postcard of the same thing yesterday. Took me 3 hours to decode by hand. (Not having regular internerd access blows)
Hmmm, I guess I should post the key to the vigenere (for the link in the email/postcard).

Under the idea that it is 'always better to post in an existing thread'...Ms. Church just contacted me and left me a message. Spoiler'ing this for those who haven't gotten it yet.

When translated to decimal, that reads "404". Any incorrect page leads to that. A bug perhaps?
