[NEW]The end.

I just got this mail from one Jacob Trasky:

Quote:
Brett;

We would like to thank you for your participation in our Corporate Edition
ARG called "Banque Suisse ". Although this was designed for a client
group, we let a limited number of the outside ARG community partially
participate.

It is always exciting for us to have a large group participate in our
adventures. Even though you are not able to play the complete version of
5.0, we hope you did enjoy the aspects that you were involved in.

Please check virtuquest.com’s score listing for Out-of-House-Top Players
and see where you ended up.

First Place participant will receive $100.00
Second Place participant will receive $50.00
Third Place participant will receive VQC T-Shirt

If you are any of these three, you will be contacted by VQC to arrange
delivery of your prize.

Please keep watch at Virtuquest.com for an open ARG later this year.

Sincerely;

Jacob Trasky

What now? Is it over?

I responded and this is the email he sent back to me.

Sorry to disappoint you. We did appreciate your participation and
interaction in 5.0. Due to an agreement with the group client, we are only
allowed to have outside players participate to a certain point.

The information you helped uncover is now being used to continue to assist
Walter in his efforts.

I am also a "Son of Svengoolie" fan.

Thanks again and watch for our "Open ARG" coming later this year.

jacob

This really blows.

Well that was short, and not so sweet Sad.

Although I do understand if a company has paid for this, then they want to play it by themselves.

Well done man.

And, Yes, very short and sweet.

But, for myself (as a newbie). A very nice introduction.

Dunno how Svengoolie feels, but I certainly will be trying another.

But it didn't go anywhere. There was no end to the story. It's very annoying.

There will be an end, but it is for the corporation who PAID for this ARG to experience it.
Corporate ARGs are for companies doing Team Building exercises. They have access to information that is not available on the internet (code book, data card, internal computer system, etc). We may or may not see the conclusive info on their website (look around for previous corporate edition news).

Open ARGs are for the general public. They've had some doozies for us.

Talk your boss into doing a Corporate ARG. Very Happy

For completeness sake:

Quote:
May 6, 2005:
Corporate Edition 5.0 has concluded. Congratulations to 1st place finisher Mike P. Mike was first to meet Walter Hamil at 8:00 am in downtown Chicago, to deliver the final proof of his innocence. Well Done!

Who would ever suspect that Walter's old friend Jerry Macstern was the one who set Walter up in the first place. Walter has been cleared of all charges and has been reinstated, but Jerry is still missing with the $500,000,000? We are sure "ThebranchManager" will be looking for him...

We would like to thank RP Financial for choosing VQC to create this exciting international AR Adventure.

Corporate Edition 5.0 was also open to outside internet players on a limited scale. VQC opened the door for 40 players around the world to participate. James MacNeeley was our 1st place finisher winning $100. Check out the 5.0 score page for a complete listing of other winners and players...

I did keep asking walter if Jerry could be trusted.....!
