i do recall stumbling into a heated discussion about the legalities of scanning and posting the cards when i went into chat the other night, but i think if the actual instructions that are on the cards encourage us to trade and share with other people then they wouldn't be too bothered about us posting scans of the cards for others.

basiclly as we know the cards are designed (in-game and out) by MC, im going to try email them for a waiver/agreement for posting on the wiki, then we're out of the legal gray area Smile

[edit: sent the email, basiclly what i said:]

Lets just hope they respond, but they may do as its all gonna be wrote in-game Smile

Code:
I know i've probably not come to the right place, but here goes anyway.

Currently we know you will be publishing and distributing the Puzzle Cards on behalf of Sente and the Academy, we've hit a bit of a legal gray area due to the old Earth laws of 'Copyright', as theres no statement on the cards themselves we can make the assumption they are free to publish for the media, but we know this is untrue.

What i am asking for is permission to 'publish' or 'display' the cards on the Perplex City Wiki (http://wiki.incognitus.net/ppc) so that fellow puzzle solvers can also see the cards, we will place a full copyright statement on the site stating that you are the holder of course, but we'd rather get out of this legal gray spot before we continue to post cards.

Thanks,

Andrew Williams

I reckon they will, MC should know the wiki is the way forward when it comes to sorting this information Wink

Awesome. I bet they agree and then sew it up when future Groups of cards hit the market.

Just interested to find out opinion on spending money to play the game.
The new count is 219 cards at the most, at £2.50 per six cards makes around £92.50. That's a lot of money for some.

£92.50?

Uh oh. I was, and am, planning to spend £100 (give or take the 5p from each pack)

Overkill? Razz

...Yeah, I'd call it overkill, but then people like me are depending on people like you. Even if I could actually find a good job, any extra money I may have would be saved up to move across the state in a few months, and any money after that would go to paying for college. I will not be buying anything.

knowing i can have some shipped fFrom NYC (instead of ordering fFrom fFirebox) encourages me to be able to buy a couple packs. I did some math and realized i spent about $400 on comic books in the past year. which sounds like a lot Smile i'm sure i can edge some cards into the budget. prolly like a fFew packs. (depending on if the shop takes money order, i suppose)

Ditto here, glad to know that we'll be able to order from the states. (Makes it easier for ignorant ole me) And on that note, I spent about $600 on M:tG last year, and that IS a lot, but I made about $4,000 in tourneys, and since I'm not all Pro Tourin' it this year, I'll probably spend a bit on these cards. Ooo... now if only I had a scanner. Wink
