i read somewhere long ago way before any leaks, that the system is concave and the FACEPLATES themselves would be changeable or to some extent customizable. well the concave design was true. perhaps the faceplate feature will be as well.

In regards to the face plates I dont see why not.

Customization has really taken of and you can get shells and those horrible looking stickers for nearly every console, so I dont see why they wouldnt capitalise on it.

I dont see why theyd call it xbox 360 because of a global release date, thatd be really ridiculous, would be like star wars episode 3 being called star wars episode 360 or saying playstation 2 is called so because of the 2 controller or memory card ports.

I reckon it must relate to the hardware, maybe the motherboard, maybe they think its a universal machine, I have read that it may include a dvd burner and has windows media centre / tivo like features, on top of playing games and dvd, so that would make it it pretty much do it all.

I wonder if the machine will include an onboard internet browser, i dont have xbox live so i dont know if that actually gives you that feature. I am just slightly lured to believe the machine is going to in some way include a dumbd down windows type desktop setup.

I wonder how well the machine balances vertical, Ino the playsation 2 doesnt work terribly well vertical without the stand, though I imagine thats the whole point of the concave design with the xbox 360.

that would suck. maybe if it was dont in the same format. but seeing WINDOWS on or at any part of the startup or multimedia functions would turn me off. i already have a pc i put up with every day for that.

Yeah but it seems like there trying to head that way.

I wonder how well the machine stands up (in vertical position) the PS2 is so dodgey without the verticle stand..

I guess with it being wireless you dont have to worry bout walking into the cords though.

It shall be interesting to see the dash.

I read on IGN 3x3ghz processors, totalling 9ghz... how can it have 9ghz ?

They named it Xbox 360 for pure marketing reasons. They thought that xbox 2 wouldn't sound as new or impressive as playstation 3. I'm sure they probably had multiple names that they went through with millions of dollars in market research and figured out that 360 is the one consumers liked the most. Simple as that.

Oh also, it doesn't have 3 3ghz processors. It has one 3ghz 3 core processor. Totally different. Either way it's still way more powerful than anything intel or amd has out now.

i cant comprehend how they thought xbox 360 rolled of the tounge, im certainly not going to keep saying that.

I dont see how theyd be phased by Sony as well and the fact there will be 3 playstations, there has to be more to it then just purely research

What if its been a ploy the whole time, dont microsoft own intel, what if the pc stunt (the stuck in pentium 4 era) was all just a mere ploy so microsoft could slowly plot and plan away a revolution that would surpass all current computers yet be affordable...

Or maybe my imagination is just running away with me

SOMETHING IS HIDDEN THOUGH, I well believe theres a big chunk of the puzzle still being kept secret.

And im now lured to believe the unknown source of the pictures could of been microsoft or ourcolony.

Think outside the box... the revolution is coming.

i agree with some of what you say men. thats why in my thread "Upset with Our Colony!" (Shameless plug) i say "plus im still 2% cautious that all the LEAKS could be fake." they COULD in fact be false. but i must believe them untill i am proven otherwise. but yes big chunk of the puzzle missing.

What if the ourcolony pictures, pictures leaked to engadget were all fake and were maybe just an early design or prototype

its mind blowing, but i reckon it could be whats really going on.

I think the most obvious thing is theres NO way there wouldnt of been security and staff at that event and around the machine

If you look at the supposed REAL PICTURE it doesnt look like its in glass casing, theres no way theyd let people up close as clearly shown in that picture and then let them point there phones directly at it to take shots (Without staff knowing)

It doesnt look like it was taken with the phone trying to be hidden, its clearly looking down on it.

And looking at it now, why would ourcolony be allowed to release photos and mockups of the machine so early when the unveiling is so secretive and theres been know word from microsoft.

Another thing i find strange is why the machines disc tray is black, where in pics from ourcolony it was clearly grey/silver with the machines name clearly visible

Food for thought, if anyone could do it i reckon microsoft could. I dont know what to believe anymore, its all been a little bit to easy, something so secretive so quickly and easily revealed.

At least we can accept something is missing

Has anyone who went to the event commented on what went on?... if the pictures are real, they might as well... cant do any more damage then whats been done
