There's another 333 pack on eBay from someone called deeplypuzzled. Is that anyone here?

I'm pretty sure that taking one of the 333 parcels when you don't intend to even play the game is worse than simply playing in a way that is of no use to the team, so that goes beyond simply failing as a defense. I've talked to a few people who were very disappointed that they couldn't enter on time to get a free parcel. It's good to know that they were beaten to it by players who are just as involved.

Besides, I kind of doubt that anyone is getting these on ebay for the code. I don't mind people selling these things, I just mind it when they completely miss the point.

Sinister? Behave. Are you seriously suggesting that people should do what you want because you say they should? If they got a parcel, it's theirs to do with as they wish. Similarly, entering the competition to win a parcel wasn't dependent on commiting to play the game to its conclusion. I'm sorry if you don't agree, but that's the facts.

Yes, that's definitely it. When I posted my reasons for having a problem with this, I definitely didn't mean a single one of them. What I actually meant was "disregard any attempt at logic, I just want to boss some guy I've never heard of and may never see again around." I'm glad you understood that.

At risk of repeating myself, I don't have a problem with selling parcels. They belong to whoever got them, and they can do whatever they want with them. I just have a problem with withholding clues, and an even bigger problem with withholding clues for money. Look at the puzzle. They sent one letter per person. No duplicates. Are you going to tell me that the PMs didn't want us to work together on this?

Finally, I'd like to point out that facts are plural.

OK, we're but a step away from the slide into oblivion here. Can we just drop this whole thing? I think we have enough information to understand both sides of the actual argument. I also think that we've reached the point where its obvious that no one is having their opinion changed by the continuing bickering. Let's move on and allow this thread to slowly slide down the listing until it disappears.

Erm... you don't think there's a contradiction in what you said here?

At risk of reigniting the flame war, I thought I'd post this for the benefit of anyone still looking for a card pack. (And, of course, for my own. Smile )

Like the other seller, I'm no longer in a position to invest enough time in Perplex City to make it worth my while. So my pack is going up on the auction block. For the record, I already posted the code to the forums a few days ago when I was still desparately hoping to find time for PC.

I'm in the United States, incidentally, so if anyone from the U.S. was interested in the other auction but didn't want to pay international shipping, this might be the way to go. If anyone wants to check it out, the auction is here.

[EDIT: embedded url. yanka.]

*EDIT: I was hoping someone would come around with the 'buy it now' option I am never there when these things finish.*

k it was a bit annoying at first but if people continue to use the forums to advertise their ebay auctions, things are just gonna get silly, especially when the cards comes out for real and there'll be ppl trying to make money left right and centre. i dunno what other people think but personally i would prefer it if we kept ebay and any other money related activities out of here and out of the IRC too, and maybe we could set up a dedicated trading forum for people to swap cards (no cash involved) when it comes to that. if people want to buy PPC stuff they can look on ebay themselves, and if they dont then they probably dont want to be spammed with advertising. i dont particularly care whether people want to sell stuff or not, i just dont want it going on on here, but thats just my thoughts, what does everyone else think?

rach =)

at this time i see no harm in people mentioning their ebay sale. as in "mine are up fFor sale, (link). ###=X". key words are *mentioning* (as in a short message) and *at this time*. spug is right, here: when we have a million cards up fFor grabs, there's no point announciung every blue black red and green you have. (silvers, maybe..)

Card trading

The real issue will be the reliable trading of cards once they're in the wild. Lost in the post or dishonest people are going to make it very very messy.

Hope you don't mind me bumping this up. Just wanted to let you know that the auction is ending in just over 3 and a half hours (21:46:28 BST).

Could be your last chance to purchase one of these, and I am only a poor student. Feel free to give me a fish.
