Nisha put up the transcript of a call between Gunther & his Mom:

And then she calls Gunther:

Well, we have a lead, the next VIN number is:

WAUMF68P16A000240

Hopefully this VIN will lead us somewhere....

Gunter calls back 55 minutes later with the VIN number, which Ian traced(above post).

Ian in Texas

So Ian is back in Texas. I am still trying to find out why he goes there and what is is doing. Someone said he wants to be close to the border, but unless he is willing to walk across and leave the car behind, I am not certain how he would actually cross. The cars didn't enter through Texas did they?

I am going to look through the sites again to try to see what is motivating him to go to Texas. I should update the story so far too, which I will try to do before tonight. Sadly, like Virgil I have several deadlines looming but I will try to get this done.

I honestly don't think there's much to this. I-10 passes through Texas. I-10 is the main route for going cross-country in the southern half of the United States. Texas is big. End of Story. We know Ian came all the way through Texas and went to Calexico. This way, he's passing all the way back and going to Washington DC (support for Nisha). He'll probably be setting up webcams in the dealership again.

Texas

If you recall, the second A3 arrived in the US in Houston, TX:

http://iannet.lastresortretrieval.com/ian/001186.html

and was then taken by land to an Earthcross facility in Pittsburgh.

I'm not sure if Ian was there in order to try to find a way to track to where the other A3s were shipped, but that could be a logical explanation for his presence in TX.
