Sorry if someone has already said this but it is taking me some time to read through all these posts. On this matter I say OOG, just Spec mind you. But, it smells of "personal"info. and thus OOG to me. I think you just dug to deep into the PR firm that Microsoft uses for some of thier projects.

 		Out Of Game. When something is out of game, it means that it is a website, blog, link, etc, that is not intended to be part of the game and therefore should not be used as clues or basis for furthering the game's plot. Because the Internet is so big and there are so many wrong leads, it helps to establish the boundaries of the game by labelling In Game vs Out of Game.

For instance, all the www.ourcolony.net webpages are in game because they serve a purpose... but the Human Clock pages are Out of Game because they were not created for the game.

The first assumption you should use is that everything is OOG until proven otherwise. Using common sense and a bit of critical thinking, you can easily decide for yourself if something is in/out of game... sites that significantly predate the game, or have obvious non game activity on them are most liley pregame. Sites that spring up related to the game, but have no original content, or any original content it may have is never verified by In Game sites, then it is a Hoax or Fan Fiction, therefore OOG. There are many other tests like that, but some times it comes down to gut feeling.

 		Thanks for the detail, though Smile Us new to ARGish Games don't know how to tell the difference all the time. Out Of Sight out of Mind is tru, but In Sight In Mind is even moreso in this type of game...Which makes it even harder to decipher the truth.

I love this stuff. If only I had known/looked into it before
