Upset with Our Colony!

not that yours points arent valid but this post seems unnecessary to me. (and not all your points are valid).

This thread can only lead to a flame war so i say

mods: lock,delete,and warn the user

i hear ur cry. I think all of us are feeling this way right about now. many of us, myself included, are feeling let down, if not betrayed, being that so much has been taken away from the game which has not been under MS's control. it's sad and unfortunate, but so is life. there are times that u put effort in something, just for things to turn into crap. i think the one person who has gained from this experience has obviously been THX, which is one of the reasons i was so envious of him in the first place. once again, we will see how this plays out on the 12.

well being the maker of this thread, i myself also do believe this IS unnecessary. but last i checked there was something called freedom of speech. not saying that you said i did, but i didnt even say anything to encite any other colonists. i didnt badmouth OC nor did i exalt them. i am merely posting this in hopes that i dont get burnt by users or OC, and that i inspire others to express what they feel and why. see if i am alone here. also i want anyone that has anything to do with OC to see an expressed version of OUR feelings rather then hearing from the grape vine that colonists have given up. maybe it might change something if thay see WHY we feel the way we do. I'd rather say something then be silent. like i said i didnt know where to post this but i dont want it to get buried. so i hope that if any mods DO decide anything. it would only be to tell me exactly where to put this. i shouldnt be warned of anything. i am guilty of no crime big enough for this to be locked. there are no flames and there shouldnt be. besides it will only last 5 days. and thanks hova092 for responding to this thread PERIOD wether you would have agreed with me or not. you read it as it was meant to be read, and responded the way i would want another colonist to respond, with THEIR OWN VOICE. this thread was meant to express as well as hear other colonists views. i encourage you phoenix9 to express what points of mine ARE valid and ARE NOT valid in YOUR POINT OF VIEW, with YOUR REASONING cause you missed the point and just said, hey mods lock this and warn the user. everyone has a right to feel their way. have a nice day!...

im not saying u van tpost ur complaints, im just saying it doesnt add anything to the game. Im not going to, but someone might take ur comments offensivley and try to defend OC then u reply to them and soon it degenerates to name calling and insults.

thats just my observation of experience

People might as well voice their complaints- maybe the PMs will learn something for the next one.

However, please do not let OurColony form your opinions about the ARG genre.

Our Colony is not an ARG- and most ARGs are nothing like this- they have a story, character interaction, exciting puzzles, and immersive reality.

OurColony is better classified as a timewaster at best.

well im not really complaining. i do say though what i view as pros and cons in my opinion and then what i feel based on that. but i am NOT narrow mindedly stating a SUPPOSED "FACT" that OC is either bad or the best. i still enjoy it and am looking forward to the future of it. but i still feel the way i do for the reasons stated. and as for name calling, nah, im sure anyone that resorts to name calling would get warned or booted or something. i'd still like to hear what you have to say about all this though. do you agree in feeling let down? or maybe you dont? i (nor others or OC would know unless you express yourself. state your view. i dont mean to seperate the colonists, rather in contrast, i implore them to SHARE what they feel and why. not so we can take sides, but so we as individuals can be heard. (-*-)

thanks the watcher. you have been heard. you made good statements. i have not let it form anything on the ARG's genre and i hope as much as you do it doesnt effect any others new (like me) to ARG's. also yeah, maybe the PMs will learn something that would be great. thanks a bunch. and yeah the title is "upset with OC" not "OC SUCKS" or something like that. as in I im upset with them for these reasons, but it doesnt mean i think their bad. i cant wait for the 12th and beyond. (-*-)

This upcry, and being done over by ourcolony could all be part of the game as a lot of people are talking, and talking is interest and that at the end of the day either way is cheap and effective advertising

On the "NEW Challenge (5-10) He'll see you at noon." thread i posted this on the 9th page, 5th post.

yeah this is wack, now im more upset with OC. they should have looked into this. for something so late in the game to be unviewable by many of us colonists. it is unfair. i mean what were we supposed to do. go to chicago cause the camera wasnt working?

this is the kinda stuff im talking about. how do you feel?

i feel that the PMs are doin there best to try and make this interesting, like u said this is ur first ARG. in Haunted APiary hundreds of people had to go places everyday. Plus if i read the trail heads right people have already had to go out to take pics for the game to start at all. the point of an ARG is to get a community involved.

The only problem i have in fact with this challenge was it was too easy, they just gave us the awnser when the guy got there they should have made it harder.
