Personally, I'd like to see that discussed in each card thread, but then brought together when a pattern emerges in the puzzle section in another thread. The colours and numbers just seem to be the best way to organise discussion, but yes, they probably aren't very important in the whole scheme of solves.

There's also a Stars type of Orange card, as shown on the obverse of #041 & #027.

This is so crazy Smile

I'm pretty sure we'll end up with sets that fit together like this. This is proved by the two yellow cards of the same set in this picture - #089 which is a top-left, and #091 which is a bottom-left, which shows that card numbers are grouped into the sets of four cards.

It is then possible that after arranging the cards as shown in the attached pic you could flip over the entire set and the map pieces would fit together in the same arrangement. Of course, this doesn't account for the cards with the instructions on the backs (maybe red and orange cards don't have map pieces?), but if this is the case then we would only need a map thread for each set of four cards, which would be easier to manage.

If one card of each set contains the instructions, you could still superpose two sets to create a map block. For instance,

Set 1:...a..b...............Set 2: A..B
........ ....c..d.........................C..D

If cardbacks d and A contained instructions (and the others were map backs), the cards could still be "slid together" into an all map block like this:
Combo set:........a..b..B
................ .........c..C..D

Of course, we don't really have any evidence for this yet. Very Happy

PS: Sorry about the formatting.. I'm sure there's a more elegant way to do it. But hey, I've always been more of a brute force type, anyway!

I think as long as we have a set way to input card data + an organised forum for discussion, we can sort out the solving and details as we go!

whilst having such a section, solely moderator controlled would be an enormous task for our lovely overlords/ladies, perhaps having a disclaimer that inefficient threads will be deleted might be a good idea? because with that many cards it needs to be clear and succinct, or it will soon lose its real purpose to help the lazy people who don't want to read every post to keep everything neat and organised. Wink

ps- was gonna write about the business on the front page, but i think it should be forgotten. please remember ettiquette and common courtesy. Mr. Green
