Blog posting from Alesha (5/11)

Quote:
So, alot of you have been asking me about the bracelets that have gone missing. Basically I bought them for James and had them engraved. The top says 'James Vanderhuff' and the back says 'love always, Alesha' . They're a plain silver bracelet, and I bought two because James is always losing bits and bobs at work (althought how he loses a ring, a watch, sunglasses, and a brand new jacket at his desk job I'll never know).

And they're gone now.

I wonder, if he was wearing one when he went missing, if I would have him back by now. And some of you have asked, why wasn't he wearing one? I don't know, and I"m racking my brains trying to figure that out.

Other than that, I've just been sitting in my apartment with the windows and door locked, curtains drawn, lights off. It's amazing how often I find myself retreating back to darkness in times of trouble, but now it's a necessity. Why would anyone want me dead? Who would do this? And instead of me, some poor innocent security guard is dead.

Why me?

I owe my life to Kevin...

This still doesn't answer the question - who is the defect? I guess I should start believing what he says now.

The weather's alot warmer now at least. I can see the sun peaking through the curtains at times.

I see that part as being important.

I agree...

I agree that that statement is important as well. With the report stating that James is "MIA" and Kevin stating "he was dead long before he dissappeared", it's almost as if James died and then FACAB made a clone of him (which would explain why the clone would not have James' belongings, causing Alesha to assume that he lost them), then made the clone "disappear".

But why? Why bother making a clone at all? Why not just tell the family that he was killed, instead of trying to hide it by making a clone? The answer may lie in why James was killed (if that is what is happening here).

My take of what Kevin said was that James was "dead" in an emotional sense. I.e. he changed dramatically from when they first met or something of that nature. Basically, he was confirming that James IS currently a monster, and is "dead" in the same way that Vader was a "dead" Anakin. (.02)

That statement may be important. To me it sounds like clues that James job really wasn't at a desk...he kept losing things while in the field.

Personally, I think the statement that it is possible that James did have on one of those bracelets is important.

That's what I thought when I looked at it too - I was reminded of Harry Tasker in the film True Lies when I read the list. I like the idea of James being "dead inside" too - cloning and zombism never sat too well in this ARG, it seemed. I think it would be a good idea to try to get Kevin to elaborate on this.

It seems the bracelet is important. Brain had one delivered to his house with a strange note inside.
