Okay, I admit that the ultra-convenience of techology tickles me.

I'm writing this draft up on the train from Chicago to Toledo. Everyone around me is rather relaxed and full of humor - a stark difference from air travel.

Award Winners:

Woody for being 3% Great!! (Negotiable to 5% after Mac the Knife) He also wins "Happiest Beekeeper EVAR." I feel ripped off, I didn't even know that was a category.
Kaali as Clogger / LawSchoolObsesser extraordinaire. Watch our for her "Real Kung-Fu Grip"
Rufo for Most Likely to meet me on a Train. Also, Most Chock Full of Electronic Toys
SkyBruin for "Of course we can fit one more. Get in the Trunk. No, I'm serious."
Waters for both "Nicest Quiet Guy" and "Quietest Girlfriend (who still had a good time)". Also, "Most Likely to have his name confused for a beverage order."
Spie for Best One-Liners
Wellsie for not setting a single beekeeper on fire. Well, I can't be sure about Thursday, I wasn't there. Also, Most Likely to Take The Beekeepers to a Kick-Ass Play.
Phaedra gets the "Stargazer" award, as well as Most Likely to Not Get A Massive Infusion of Animal Flesh. She, along with many others, was nominated for "Bubble-Chaser Extraordinaire".
Pita wins the award for "Taking One (many) for the Team, Musically", one for "Farthest Distance Travelled (tied with Ariock), and one for "Best New Accent".
Ozy will be receiving his plaque for "Most Likely to Provide Sage Advice at a Bookstore". Additionally, he was a runner up for "Most likely to wear a thong." Aw, better luck next year Ozy.
4D wins Cheesiest Handle. Seriously, folks, try the veal.
Ariock wins hands-down in the lookalike contest for "That guy from Half-Life"
SkyBruin wins "Most Likely to Save My Ass from Walking" over and over again. This is probably the best award one can get, besides "Most likely to Save My Ass from Certain Death", which was not handed out this year. Alas.
The Jinx gets the golden statue (gold statue sold separately)
CoffeeJedi picked his up for Most Looking Like Dasro. Also, special commendation for "Most Nickname Synonyms"
Dasro Kast. unsurprisingly, won for "Most Looking Like CoffeeJedi." Also, "Most likely to put away an entire cow."
Anton P. Nym wins for "Most Looking Like a Cup of Coffee." He ties with Clayfoot for "Most Usage of Mass Transit"
Fenwicked celebrates his second "My Nickname Starts with F" award, I'm sure he's very proud.
Clayfoot ties with Anton for "Most Usage of Mass Transit", and gets his own award for "Most often Mistaken for Having a Bionically Attached Camera"
Incyr wins "Most likely to stand on Chairs for Pizza"

Now, I'm home, it's 4:30 AM, and I need to SLEEEP.

Just one more thing. I listened to Chapter 8 all the way to the end on the ILB DVD... Even 6 months later, it still chokes a guy up. I feel like we need to get out to Cali just so we can shake their hands individually. It's an unbelievably good story, even now.

Note: I'll go into depth on the crazy stories when I've slept. My last story of the trip is that I almost missed Toledo. I look out the window, and things are looking might familiar, but everyone in my car is sleeping or whatever, no one is moving. I put on shoes and go to the next car, which is -totally empty-. It was Toledo, and I had enough time to scoop up my shit, hop out the door, and repack on the platform. *Yawn* Sleepies now. On second thought, I think Fogo is catching up to me.

You be sure to give her a big hug for all of us. She seemed like a great sport about the whole weekend!!!

Personally, I think you owe her big time

Yeah, I know. I owe her for a lot of other things as well!

More random thoughts about things I could only remember now, after some coffee in the morning:

- You can put more than 4 guys in a Metro!! It really works! Just amazing!

- Jinx gets my award for best singer. Woody? Well, not so much. Specially paired with Uber! Laughing I can still picture Clayfoot covering his ears!

- It felt somewhat strange to link faces to voices. Even some voices sounded different on person!

- We didn't get to play halo2 together. And you know what? I don't regret it at all!

- While it was fun to see all there. We certainly missed some people! Oh and it would've been fun if some of the ILB cast were there!

- Talking about missing person. Ground Control to Angelo, Where are you??

Sure thing! Playing halo2 will be different after meeting some of you in person!

overall thoughts:

Mascots rule in groups.

Katamari is more fun at 3am while drinking.

Jinx and Woody are the new comedy team of our age.

Manly guys with beards shouldn't wear t-shirts with images of hot warrior chicks on them, its confusing.

yes, you really can fit 6 people in a Geo Metro 3-door, just don't expect Jinx to be comfortable.

Beaker is much smaller in person than Ariock's pics make him out to be.

Anton P. Nym didn't speak in third person nearly enough.

ATDT is an evil evil man for playing "the final wav" when we're all together Crying or Very sad

Heat vision is fun, even the second time.

Phaedra is of the undead, or at least her fingertips.

when you put 12 people in a "whisper chamber", it isn't

Krystyn is truly the "queen bee", yea verily.

when you think "hey we should have nametags" and make a prototype, its really awesome to come into a room and see that everyone thought your idea was a good one

sometimes, while riding in the back of a car with someone who freed the Sleeping Princess, idly chatting and reminiscing, reality can fold itself around, wrap up into a little ball, and fall into your lap as you realize "holy crap! you're hmrpita! this is Chicago, and these are the people i've talked on Live and unfiction for all these months" (it can be a little overwhelming)

Ain't technology great. I also love how you guys wandered around to find a hotspot outside the tavern on Saturday to post pictures to Flickr Smile. Even though I made fun of you Twisted Evil, I still thought it was awesome.

Yes, apparently CJ and I are long lost cousins. Who knew? Smile. Also, I am FOGO IRONMAN. Their food was so tasty, I was happy to keep my disc turned to green. I was only stopped when they started ignorning me after Clayfoot got there Wink. At least they saved me from myself...Smile.

Sounds like a great time was had by all. I tried to call in Fri (on Phae's phone) to say hello to the group but was denied by voicemail Mad

Next time I'll try to be there instead of "phoning it in". I'm glad everyone seems to arrived home safely.

Sorry, ROBOGriff!

I had like 400 voicemails and I think yours somehow got added to the "saved" rather than the "new" group without me actually hearing it. Confused

We LUVVVV you!!!

Okay, an account of Friday can be found here. I'm not just going to cut and paste it here because it's photo-heavy.[/url]

I could not agree more. Every other trip I have ever taken, by the time it was over, I was glad to be back home with my friends and family. This trip could have definitely been longer.

Some people were exactly what I pictured, some people were not quite what I expected, and some people were not even close (I am ashamed to admit, I even had one person's gender incorrect Embarassed) I had some cable problems that required me to move my X-Box to a location out of reach of my network, but after this weekend I cannot let this stand. I am installing a new port in that room today and will be back on by tomorrow night at the latest Very Happy

Not only did you finally get a bubble, you were the only one to catch a bubble on a bubble Very Happy

General thoughts: I had a GREAT time. I would like to thank everyone that helped this come together. Krystyn for all of the planning that she put into it. Everyone that had a vehicle and carted us around. Everyone that had a map, who not only navigated for our afore mentioned drivers, but provided more options and comfort when we split into smaller groups to roam the downtown streets on foot. Everyone that had a camera/flickr account and used it to provide us all with photo evidence of the insanity.

Hi Everyone!
Just thought I wold post to say I made it back Ok. And of course to share my feelings as well.

Like many have already said, This is one trip I didn't want to end. It took me ten minutes to finally start to say goodbye to everyone at the Barnes and noble on sunday, And then I missed Saying Goodbye to Krystyn Sad

Anyway looking forward to the photos everyone took and i hope to try to get back on live more and not get sucked into the Matrix so much!

Which jokes do you want, the ones about of all the people there, I was probably one of the last who should have had to worry about you stareing at my chest or the ones about you forgetting one of the cardinal rules of ILB, "For a quality experience, the girl has to be real."?
