I had the weirdest dream that I flew all the way to Chicago to meet a bunch of great people and go to a great concert. There was eating and drinking and karaoke...
And YOU were there, and YOU were there, and YOU were there!

It was such a detailed dream. I could never describe it in a way that would do it justice. It was a bombardment of emotions impossible to experience in waking life.

The poor guy. He really had a hard time with the name thing while we were there. At least he got some of them right, kinda Wink

The "Space Channel 5" pic is a treasure. And the captions are great! They really brought back the feel of the Hivemeet... goofy fun zooming between highbrow and lowbrow. (And eyebrow, for that matter. Very Happy )

Still slurping coffee, but I swear that I'll get my pictures up before heading out for lunch. I'd forgotten that I still have a photobucket account I got for pictures of my brother's wedding last year and there's tons of room... so I'll upload the reduced pictures there and then build a gallery on Liveperson.

-- Steve can't wait to post the pic of the Vectrex. Pity he didn't think to let someone play it at the time...

Well folks, sounds like it was a great time. i'd have loved to join, but life has had me going in so many directions that I havent even visited unfiction in weeks/months, as I resigned from the args I was participating in. I been finishing up my time at one school and preparing to return to college, I found myself a real day job with an engineering firm, and keeping my full class load from killing me has been difficult, seeing as how I did finally get a gig writing music for a very luscious gameboy advance/nintendo DS title. I think, maybe two days ago I was finally relaxing for half a day as opposed to getting one hour of sleep a night, and the words "hivemeet, May" flickered through my brain.

So, sorry, if anybody actually remembered/missed me, and I'll try to stay abreast of whats going on in chicago in the future.

Oh yeah, can I tack on "Was best man at a wedding that happened twice(once in aurora and in MINNESOTA a week later so the last two weeks have been even more hell in a bucket " in the middle of the other excuses for why I totally freakin forgot about anything fun happening?

I have a question about the pictures that have been posted to Flickr. I have gone to Waters and Rufo's pictures and can save any of them to my local machine fine. However, when I go to INCyr or Phaedra's and try to save a picture, it always defaults to a file name of spaceball and then saves a blank image. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong or a way around this?

Are you stealing my pictures?? Laughing Just kidding ... If anyone wants the original file from any pic from my flickr account, let me know and I'll send you an e-mail. It's much bigger, being a 5MP camera.

About your problem, I'd guess it's something you can set up in your flickr account, to protect your picture. Someone would have to confirm, since I'm pretty new to flickr.

Just a quick note that I've started posting my Hivemeet photo journal now; for those who haven't got an account or don't have me on their Friends list (and thus haven't been bombarded yet) watch http://www.livejournal.com/users/anton_p_nym/ for updates to the ongoing saga.

-- Steve's been grinding at this since 11am, and is still only to the afternoon of the 13th. Sheesh...

i think i've seen this, its like a clear image stretched over the image to prevent downloading, spaceball is probably just a reference to "spacer"

if you have firefox and the "nuke anything" extension, you can remove this invisible "cover" over the image (as to why some person's sites have this, and not others, i'm at a loss)

edit: i can't recreate the problem (even though i've seen it on other sites) are you logged in to flickr?

p.s. i am completely addicted to viewing photos from this weekend!

I won't say much, only that its a great franchise and an unbelievable title for a first timer to get his break on.
