I'm sorry caterpillar, but I don't understand your solve for the queen alice page.

You say to add up the numbers, and you list a string of numbers:

163150141144157167

but on the queen alice page, the number string is:

1566024823672872926547658776869875

So how did you get one string of numbers from the other string?

I think he added the top line to the numbers below and to the right on the other line?

It isn't actually a single string, there are two strings of numbers on two different lines, one above the other sort of arranged like an arithmetic problem.

Aaah, thank you caterpillar.

I wonder what the 8 lines on the queen alice page had to do with that puzzle though.... There are only 6 letters in SHADOW....

I totally agree, and we might have missed something there.

Oooooh I'm so excited, this is brilliant. I love 'Alice' (and tea, hehe)... Whenever my username isn't 'Arbitrary_Moss', its 'SlithyTove', with the signature always being the first verse of 'Jabberwocky'. o.O Well, anyway, this is cool... Hmm, the 'Tall Man'. The first thing I thought of when Eric said that Richard said (sorry about all those 'said's, it sounds like I'm running to mummy and telling on who started it first) that the 'Tall Man made him do it' was the phrase/expression/excuse/bunny rabbit/whatever 'the Devil made me do it'. Of the thingys I used to describe this, err, collection of words ordered into a phrase, probably the best is ((a fragment of my mind: bunny rabbit! | the rest of me: .. no -.-)) an excuse. Whatever 'it' happens to be, Richard seems to tend to blame it on the 'Tall Man' -- when we think of this man, what do we think of? An imposing figure? An ominous silhouette in the doorway? The images are often negative... Of course, someone brought up other positive images, which I also agree with. (By the way, Flidget Jerome: CELTS ROCK!! (Flidget: Yeah, and you suck.. o.O) Maybe you're also thinking of Llugh of the Long Arm? *shrugs* Dunno. )

Umm... where did my train of thought go?!

Oh yeah. 'The Devil/Tall Man made me do it'. So what I'm saying is... Richard seems to have gained Eric's trust, despite all of whatever he does. He blames it on the 'Tall Man', who Eric has obviously never seen -- '... I saw a funny shadow on the wall today. Is it the Tall Man Richard talks about?' So what I'm trying to say is... the 'Tall Man' doesn't really exist.

Just some spec. As usual. Wink

PS- I just got home. Found out that we're having tacos for dinner... Shocked hehe.

EDIT: Sh*t... I didn't read the blog before posting, I hadn't checked it yet.... DUH!! IDIOT SELF! Ok, so, obviously the shadow exists... I suck... Kill me now... yeah... Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

The 8 lines were probably a hint that it was in Octal.

Yeah, but it seemed as if some people were still confused. Very Happy
