The Revolution is Coming Elaborate Hoax or the Prophetic Trailer from the Big N itself?
You decide, but real or not this has me pumped up for Nintendo's next showing too:

Nintendo has said that they are changing the format of "a gamer tethered to a machine tethered to a TV"...
And they HAVE already done wireless controllers...
wishful thinking?
I look forward to whatever they have up their sleeve.

Most likely it's a fake, or an extremely early-stage dev idea promo for internal presentation only.
I do love the idea of the machine itself being thought of as a "brain" though. An a hemisphere for Making Games? I've been waiting for that since before the N64DD was first announced.

I would Cry Falesy... But then again.
Nintendo's entry for the imminent console wars has been a CLOSLY guarded secret. They have mentioned only that it will be revolutionary, and otherwise dropped 1 or 2 cryptic hints about since.
This... Might just be real. If so, it... well must employ some damned near beyond state of the art tech.
Well, we should know by the end of next week, considering the E3 expo is where they are expected to reveal their entree, as with sony.

That's just... wow.
Real or not, someone put together one hell of a presentation.
And if its fake, I kinda wonder why someone would go to all that effort.

I believe it is. Some reccent reports from Nintendo seem to imply an actual Console that hooks into an actuall TV.

Nintendo has that effect on people. Because they have expressed interest in innovation and concern about hardware overshadowing quality, many gamers look at them as the last bastion of hope for our pastime.

According to Nintendo itself, this is total BS.

While I like some of that concept idea (and completely lost my facial expression to droopage at that multi-million castle display), the whole idea that the system comes with one headset for playing (when part of the love for Nintendo is the four-controller setup), and that the entire deal is based on proximity to the system is completely ridiculous.
I imagine what we'll be seeing in the near future, though, will astound and shock everyone.

So far no images of the controller, where the "revolution" part comes in, and no hard specs, but keep in mind Nintendo will probably have more to show at SpaceWorld in a few months, and they have nearly a year (including E3 2006) to prepare final touches:

They need to double the number of fighters to get some serious melee going without people fighting over who gets to be Party Hat Pikachu.
To start, I suggest:
Kid Icarus
Toad
Shyguy
Samurai Goro
A couple species of Pikmin
Captain Louie
Skull Kid Majora
The Guy From StarTropics
Wario
A few more Pokemon

While I agree that there need to be about twice as many characters in Melee Revolution, (and NONE of them should be "move clones" of other existing players *glare at Ganondorf and Falco*) any of those you've listed that aren't directly from Nintendo won't be able to be included. (I think someone else made StarTropics, and anyways Ness already has the yo-yo covered...)
Also, if I heard Iwata-san correctly, they don't just plan to make Melee Revolution a launch title.. they want to in-goddamn-clude it with the farking system!!

Well, I have just watched the Nintendo press conference and let me just say they are so screwed. I think after watching the big three, they tanked the most. Nintendo spent the first half hour of their hour long presentation talking about how great GBA and DS were. I can't believe a game like Nintendogs sold so many DS units in Japan. Anyway, they dragged me along and finnally got to the Revolution console and the President of Nintendo says, "Hey guys this is only a prototype." I've got news for them, they are way behind. X-Box 360 is here in November and PS3 in the spring. Nintendo needs to get their act together.
I will admit that I am glad that Nintendo is going to have backwards compatibility with cube, but there again the only games that have kept me from selling my cube are Zelda and the Resident Evil series. I like that I will be able to download games from every Nintendo console. Old school gamers like me will be pleased with that. I think that their failing has been attempts at brushing their old fans under the carpet in favor of the new generation and parental approval. It was really painful to watch. The only highlight was the trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess....and that's gonna be a cube game! ....ugh, I fear our old friends at Nintendo may end up going the way of Sega some day; that is if Gameboy Advance and DS don't ever die out...
tis a sad day...I grew up on 8-bit NES, and now I feel like they've lost their way...
