[SOLVED][PUZZLE] Morgan's Site (late night 18/05/05)

Okay so... at like 9:30 (GMT -5) time Ursos recived an email saying:

Quote:
Benty twird flave heown.
Thatch cem! Thatch cem!

Translating to:

Twenty bird[s] have flown.
Catch them! Catch them!

And that we did, every signle page that we've looked at had a piece of this text/picture!!! And some of the websites had new puzzles! Ahh

We took the file names from all 20 pictures and got:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1 6 8 9 a c d dd ddd dddd h i ii iii n o r rr t tt

Which we found to be:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1896 Richard didn't do it.

Since there was 4 d's 3 i's etcetc, thebiggug suggested only used the hjigher number so their wasn't excess. And it seems he was right. *awards thebig a badge*

When the rest of us chat people were working on saving pages and getting pictures and whatnot, Ursos was busy putting together all the pieces of the puzzle. Together all twenty got this:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Late one summer evening, when the twins were eighteen, Eric Artemes was found curled up in the kitchen, a pool of his own blood, his hand missing, unconscious. After being tended for many hours by skilled physicians it was determined that he would live. Prior to that however, Richard had been founding* the woods near Rookery Tower, a mad gleam in his eyes, trying to sew the hand of his brother onto his own mutilated stump.

*we don't know is this is a "typo" or not

(NOTE: A cleaned up version of the picture will be posted asap)

*bows* Nooo problemo. I thought I'd keep track of everything this time. We are currently confused by founding, no idea what that means in the case. Good luck!

Cleaned up the image a little bit. The "found in"/"founding" part should be easier to read now. It IS "founding."

Probably a typo, it seems likely that it's meant to be "found in the woods" but I'll leave it as is for now in the pewsnaper (I'm starting to like that word....lol) clipping update thread.

I've e-mailed this to Mr. Morgan.

Quote:
Mr. Morgan -

You may have seen all those random pictures on pretty much every page of your site. Also, the e-mail that came from your account (as seen below). We deduced that there must be 20 of those images that piece together to form a message. We hunted down all 20 and did just that. It can be seen here:

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/files/final_141.jpg

While I was putting that puzzle together, the other guys (thebiggig in the end) figured out that the names of the images could be reworked to say, "1896 Richard didn't do it." It seems like Richard has put in a poor light from all this...

Also, this bit of text seems to fill in yet another paragraph in the newspaper clipping that was found with half of it blacked-out.

Are things alright with you and Layla? Anything else strange going on today?

-Conor
